The Spring/Summer 2009 collection is a great time to amp up our coverage, with the perfectly spring-appropriate range full of fresh colors, airy and blossoming designs, delicate embroidery, and everyday casual styles. This new collection looks perfect to wear as everyday underwear – it’s not so fancy that you wouldn’t want to wear it during the day, but it’s still pretty enough that you’ll want someone to see you in it when you get home! With bras in sizes up to a G cup and panties up to size 18, almost everyone will be able to find something to fit and flatter. Here are some of my favorites:

Products already include lingerie basics, loungewear, men’s basics, hosiery, sleepwear, towels, and more. Figleaves has already discontinued several styles (including my favorites, sadly) and is constantly adding more to its repertoire. The newest edition to the brand portfolio is Midnight Grace, a line scheduled to come out very soon (mid-February).  Midnight Grace is aimed at the fuller-figured market, combining support and fashion in bra sizes 32D-38G. Rachael Smith, head of buying at Figleaves UK, says of the new endeavor, “This exciting new brand is a direct response to the needs of our customers and ensuring we are always at the forefront of up-to-the-minute brands.”

This feminine and affordable brand has been flying under the radar, but we have just received word about two of the newest ranges from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection!

First, the Elegance range is a bridal collection with a creative and romantic color scheme. The ivory Italian satin is covered with large yet intricate gold rose embroidery. The range includes a strapless bra, basque, and waspie in a large size range, from 32A-38E. The briefs come in sizes 8-18.

The vintage-inspired Victoriana range also features floral embroidery, designed to become a favorite in the soft pink and chocolate colors. The range includes several bras, a basque, three different briefs, and a suspender. The bras come in sizes 30A-40G, and the briefs are offered in sizes up to 20.

Seafaerygirl asked in the comments, “Any chance you could find ‘days-of-the-week’ panties for less?”

Well, Seafaerygirl, I did find a few options! It’s not a very common design in adult lingerie, which is why the Stella McCartney set I showed you a while ago was so special. But the good news is that I was able to unearth a few less expensive alternatives. First up, a set of cotton knit boyshorts by Mary Green, with the embroidery on the hip.

The complete set is $90-$92, which isn’t a budget-breaker when you consider that you are getting a set of seven. You can find this set at HipUndies and In the Mood Intimates. Panties.com offers a brighter color scheme for $85 a set.

Figleaves UK and Figleaves US also offer their own version of low-rise satin briefs.

On the US site, the set is normally $74 and is currently on sale for $37. The UK site sells theirs for £49, and there is no sale price at this time.

The final set I found is from Austique, a brand I hadn’t heard of before. At Austique, you can buy the panties individually by day for £10 a piece. The complete set also includes a “Happy Day” pair, in case you don’t finish your laundry on time!

The black mesh pieces available right now include a sheer front cinch bra in a wide range of sizes (30-38, A-FF!). This bra has no underwires and is especially popular in larger cup sizes. The thong is totally new and won’t even be available anywhere else until 2009!
