Pouvoir roughly translates to “power” in French. The rest of the translation is up to our astute TLP readers.

Under the watchful eye of her mother, Maurenice learned to sew at the age of five and by age seven, Maurenice was making her own clothes and tending daily to her mother’s women’s fashion store. When she moved to New York from the Dominican Republic she instantly fell in love with architecture and the fine arts. Today, she continues to draw inspiration for her designs from these early influences. Unfortunately, it looks like the brand is no longer. The web site is currently in the hands of an adult-centric domain squatter (use caution to visit).

Some parts of the collection are still available from Glamorous Amorous and one size M knicker is at Nancy Meyer, but previous stockists (Catriona Mackechnie and Faire Frou Frou) are no longer carrying the brand.
