Founders Clare Thommen and Fiona McLean were down in London to collect the award and were ecstatic to have won.

It’s a huge credit to our team who have worked so hard to create what we have with Boudiche, and they should all be very proud. It’s a massive achievement for us all.”

Other Drapers 2009 winners include ASOS for E Tailer of the Year, H&M for Marketing Initiative of the year with their Matthew Williamson collaboration and Topshop BYC for Best New Store. Founder of New Look, Tom Singh received the Lifetime Achievement award.

When I was a very little girl, some of my first sets of underwear were the days-of-the-week style. The Edinburgh Show will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm and the Glasgow Show will be held on Wednesday, November 26th from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Tickets are £5 with all proceeds (plus 10% of all sales on event night) going to charity.

There are also plans in the pipeline to reintroduce a Rigby & Peller lingerie brand following the recent end of an agreement with Eveden. However, when it does happen it will be exclusive to the shops and not available to wholesale. “The agreement with Eveden had worked well since 1993, but we both felt that it caused a little bit of confusion in the market place,” says Kenton. “We’re retailers first and foremost, but watch this space.” (Rigby Peller News)
