Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.

The next stop is Axami. TLP introduced you to Axami in March of this year. The company produces a large number of collections and lines. You can sample some of the breadth in the thumbnails below. The company produces their website in Polish, French, German, and English. There is no company store, unless you live in Poland. As Mandolina pointed out in March, there’s not a signature in the Axami collection. The range includes heavy spandex basques looking like Luxxa designs, Bridal basics, and ornate brocade pieces that look similar to Aubade.

From his French website, the companies describes the brand as:

“Patrice Catanzaro is well known by all the people who like to indulge into a sultry world inhabited by libertines, unconditional lovers of refined and sexy apparels.”

Catanzaro’s designs are kinkier than the burlesque glamour of a line like Eternal Spirits. He creates a product that straddles the line between lingerie and fetish designs. From his website:

“The material that CATANZARO uses in his creations, is innovative, with an aspect reminding of both leather and latex, lycra flexibility and vinyl shine, the products are sumptuous and playful. A special care is given to details such as seams.”
