To have a party like this, the bride must be willing to give up her sizing information so her guests can purchase things that will actually fit her! This is a great time for her to head out for a professional fitting if she hasn’t had one lately. You can include the sizing information with the invitations, or the bride can create wishlists/registries on many lingerie sites including Secrets In Lace, Boudiche, and Hips & Curves. She can also set up a wishlist on sites like Amazon or Wishlist, which let her add any item from any website to her wishlist.

Now it’s time to send out the party invitations! There are plenty of lingerie-themed invitations available. I like looking at Etsy.com for unique and relatively inexpensive stationary from a wide variety of sellers. The invitation pictured here is from CraveDesign and is specifically designed to include a page of sizing information! Be sure to specify the theme on the invitation.

The party itself should be pretty, decadent, and feminine, just like lingerie! Be sure to include flowers, wine, and candles. The little details will makethe difference here – everyone expects snacks, but your guests will be impressed if you use lingerie cookie cutters to make on-theme desserts. If you plan to play shower games, you can even reward winners with lingerie. Of course, you don’t know what size the winner will be, so Hanky Panky thongs (or the Victoria’s Secret knockoffs) are a great idea because they are one-size-fits-most! You could also give away gift cards to local lingerie boutiques. When it’s time to say goodbye, send your guests home with a pretty party favor. You could hand out lingerie drawer sachets or inexpensive one-size-fits-most stockings, like these from Yandy.com (only $2.66 each with coupon code lingeriepost).

Soft Paris has several lifetimes of adult products in their inventory, but they also have a pretty cute lingerie offering. Currently, the have three collections: Los Angeles, So Ho, and Rio. These pictures are from the three collections.

The entire offering comes in your basic black. A few pieces come in some alternate colours like deep pink, red, and white. Rio is mostly knickers, and mostly strings at that with plenty of side ties, back ties, and laced up ties for each offering. Soho has camis, corsets, and long bras. Los Angeles boasts a few baby dolls, some French can-can knickers, and a long dress.

Prices range from 20-49 € per piece. I’m unsure about the quality of the garments, but I think it would be a nice home party to see these things up close. If you live in France and are familiar with the brand, leave a message.

Luckily for us, Charlott’ has recently launched the Fall 2008 “Attitude” collection of men’s and women’s undergarments. Each female model is photographed with snowboard or ski equipment in a rustic cabin in the snow capped mountains. This artistic backdrop actually makes the garments more appealing as they stand out quite splendidly in the ambience. Further to the photography, the creative names of the collections such as “Ange des neiges (snow angels)”, “Bleuet des Alpes (blueberry of the Alps)”, and “Douce méditation (quiet or soft meditation)” really inspire us to look fabulous.

Undoubtedly, a gorgeous collection, my favourite is the “Volupté” bra and panties in pretty pink and white spiral pattern with dark pink ribbing around the outline of the cups and along the sides of the panties. Each are finished off with sweet little bows for added refinement. “Braises ardentes” is a breathtaking design of red embroidered butterflies on black bra and panty ensemble in either string, regular or thong styled bottoms.

Classic whites, discreet beiges and bright reds in bras, panties and camisoles really shout out “designer lingerie”.

Java has five different lines: Elegant, Pretty, Seduction, Tops, and Men. I don’t see any pricing, but some of the sets are quite pretty. The quality looks a little better than the last in-home products I saw.

UndercoverWear Home Parties is the oldest lingerie party plan company in the business. International success throughout United States and Canada, the company is celebrating its thirty-first year in the business. Family owned and operated the James keep a very high profile by hosting fashion shows, accepting interviews and providing lingerie to the stars. In fact for the 2007 Daytime Emmy Awards, they presented gift bags of lingerie and spa products to the show’s host and many performers. They were also recently invited to The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch and in their early years they were guests on both the Phil Donahue and Oprah shows.

Their lingerie selection includes pyjamas, chemises, babydolls, sleepshirts, bras, panties, nightgowns and camisoles. Perusing the website, I see that they have given much thought to the pieces that go into their inventory. Sexy, modern, fairly priced and excellent sizing are hallmarks of this lingerie party plan company.

I fell in love with the Lavender Wisps, a pretty chiffon camisole and ruffled bikini panty. The sweet little bows and ruffles on both the cami and panty finish the set off nicely. In addition to this cute set, many of the items come in sizes from Small – 3X. Another very pretty item was the Divine long gown in satin with braided neckline. And the Sophie two-piece camisole and long pant pyjama set was absolutely beautiful in shimmering brown.

UndercoverWear does not seem to offer refunds but do allow a thirty-day exchange program for damaged items or poor sizing. Lastly, I was impressed with the fact that the models shown were of all sizes and looked natural. The line would appeal to a very large group of women.

Hosting an on board party are one of Hollywood’s favorite couples: Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell. Guests on the ship include George Clooney and Dita Von Teese, plus a batch of other celebrities including Heath Ledger, Matt Damon and quite a few Fashion TV favourites!

The fashion show will include a mix of classic hand crafted Eternal Spirits corsets, boudoir inspired lingerie, bedroom accessories and evening gowns. Eternal Spirits were hand-picked from a pool of hundreds of lingerie labels all competing for a hot spot on the yacht. Word on the street is Fashion TV’s Michelle Adam selected the label for their Unique seductive appeal, range of exquisite corsetry and fabulous celebrity following. “That’s so perfect for Cannes!”, she allegedly said.

Now, outside of this somewhat miniature country, lingerie parties take the form of the good old tupperware gatherings: a hostess that brings lingerie (and adult toys, most of the time, can’t blame them for taking advantage of all the women involved ) and women sitting in comfy couches trying out pieces, talking about pieces and having a drink at the same time…

All I can say is: whatever the concept of the lingerie party, give it a go! We had great fun (there were a few models there, but we pitched in and I tried over 8 sets ), enjoyed a few drinks and I got a discount on the items I bought! Good deal? Oh yeah! I’m so happy I’m looking into hosting a lingerie party myself (I need help, so check out the link! )…
