Well, in April, prepare for a little taste of the movie through the Cosabella Sex and the City collection! As Kelly mentioned in a post back in December, each of the four collections is inspired by the unique styles and personalities of the girls. The collections are also reflective of the true Cosabella essence of comfort and color. At the Curve NY trade show, I was able to see the summer pieces up close and personal.

The “Carrie” collection is described as “whimsical and eclectic” and features a push up bra, bustier, and low rise thong in a black, floral print tulle. Of course, it wouldn’t be a “Carrie” look without the contrasting animal print trim! While the signature “Carrie” look is in Black Rose, the collection will also be available in Ivory Rose.

The “Samantha” collection is featured in juicy Passion Fruit and contains a spicy bra, low rise thong, and garter belt (of course!). Made with French Chantilly style lace with fine, micro-dot mesh, this collection is sure to please!

With contrasting Blue Violet and Sky Blue tulle and lace, the “Miranda” collection is chic and practical, just like the character. A molded bra, low rise hotpants, and a low rise thong are the signature items. Items will also be available in Magenta and Hot Pink.

And for the sweet and feminine, Charlotte, Cosabella has designed a camisole, long pant, and low rise thong made of soft modal and an eco-friendly bamboo fiber. The signature “Charlotte” collection will be featured in Ecru with Ecru accents, but also available in Black with Ecru accents.

Speaking after his successful showing of the Winter 2009 Menswear line, Christopher Bailey, the Creative Director, responsible for Burberry’s collections and store images, has indicated that although a launch date has not been set, the notion of an underwear line was in the works.

Other high-end retailers have launched underwear lines in order to promote consumer loyalty and to gain more exposure by offering a segway into their brands. While Burberry launches more collections, designer underwear seems to be a natural fit.

In addition to the possibility of an underwear line, Bailey added that the new formats for the stores was well received and that more refurbished stores were on the way. Revenues were higher as a result of the new formats, which focus on a “southern” fresh concept and a “northern” cosier look.

Still growing strong after 150 years, the Burberry underwear collection should be a smashing success. We will have to wait and see if the first pair of undies will be fashioned after their trademark check (or plaid depending on where you live).

Online. She visited the shop with two friends, and made a $1,200 purchase including lots of Honeydew pieces. The source says that her favored sets were designs made of black lace, green gingham, pink gingham, mesh cotton, gold-crown print, and more. She bought some other stuff, too, but that’s far less interesting to us here at The Lingerie Post. ;-) Looking at the Honeydew website, it seems she may have stocked up on several pairs of rumba panties.

I’m just glad she is finally joining the masses in our habit of wearing undergarments. We’ve seen too many tabloid photos lately proving otherwise – maybe now that she’s stocked up on so many pretty things, She’ll be more inclined to actually wear them!

But now, The Independent and many other sources are saying that Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to replace Moss as the new spokesmodel!

Lowe seemed a fitting choice considering the information from Agent Provocateur before the announcement, so I have to say I was really surprised to hear this new information! I wonder if the false lead was planned? Everyone is buzzing about the bait-and-switch, and I have to say I’m a bit happy about the new information. I think that, with the right producers, the AP campaign could really transform her from girl-next-door to sexy star! And she definitely has a unique look – one that will stand out in the lingerie world.

We’ll be able to see on September 1 – the day the new ads will be available online!

Insiders say that the contract will not be renewed because of a personal issue. There is gossip going around that Rees, who runs her company with husband Joe Corre, had an affair Paul Simonon. Somonon, former bassist for The Clash, just so happens to be the husband of one of Kate’s best friends.

Kate Moss gained a lot of publicity for her endorsement with sexy ads and “The Four Dreams of Miss X” videos featuring the lingerie line. She will probably miss the extra half million pounds that a renewal contract would bring, but we’re excited to see who the new face will be!

Launching this Fall 2007, the line consists of lingerie, night/loungewear and day styles. Initially launching in major department and specialty stores nationwide this Fall, the line looks to expand worldwide by Fall of 2008. “The collection is fun, flirty and exactly what I would want to wear,” says Jessica Simpson.

I am interested to see what she comes up with. I’m slightly embarrassed to say I still really like her (even though I don’t like her music), despite the fact that the tabloids have put her through the ringer recently. I think she’s so sweet and beautiful in a way that will translate well to lingerie and loungewear styles.

UPDATE: After doing more research, I did find out that Simpson was inspired to create this line after being frustrated with bra shopping herself because of the small selection available for larger cup sizes. No word yet on exact sizes, but I’ll let you guys know as soon as I find out! Now it totally makes sense that she teamed up with Vestiny, which is the company that sells the Solution Cami, a cami with a built-in bra for larger cup sizes, and the line B.B. Curves, which is a line dedicated to larger cup sizes. Now I’m even more excited!

Today, it seems like they have! Gisele and H&M will probably start working on the lingerie line as soon as her contract with VS finishes!

The New York Post quoted a source close to Bundchen:

“Gisele has been in talks with H&M for a long time, but for legal issues she has to wait for her Victoria’s Secret contract to end to start the project.”

Am I the only one excited about this?
