Apparently two new lines were launched this year called “By Caprice Sleep” and “Glam By Caprice”. Like her lingerie and swim lines, these new collections are equally as intense with their gorgeous laces, fancy designs and sexy styles. And for those of you who are not yet familiar with the label, Caprice Bourret is a real person who has adorned countless magazine covers and who actually models her own lingerie pieces.

By Caprice Sleep includes four two piece sets called:

• Can Can, a babydoll and thong ensemble available in Ebony/Candy. A magnificent pink candy coloured lace bra finished with pretty ribbon ties and candy hem is an incredible contrast to the overall black sheer chemise and thong.
• For an even more provocative look, the Fleur babydoll in solid black chemise with lipstick red embroidery on the bust and finished with a dainty red ruffled hem makes a bold yet glamourous statement.
• Still super sexy but a little more playful is the next set entitled Heartbeat that includes a camisole and boxer style shorts. The hot pink Modal cami is trimmed in sequins and white lace and goes great with the Satin black shorts covered with pink and white hearts.
• Another cami and short set, the Heartdrops set offers a pink fabric with little white hearts and charms on the shorts.

“Glam By Caprice” has already offered two distinct collections since July and is not lingerie but rather dresses.

Child-like and feminine are the Romantic Jersey Nightdress and Baby Beach Dress. Pure white fabrics for a hot summer night in pretty voile and Lycra jersey with lace pockets and hems show the dainty and fanciful side of Pluto sleepwear. Sweet fuschia coloured polka dots on white cotton with spaghetti straps and fuschia satin ribbon intertwined to highlight the v-neck are features of another dreamy summer nightgown.

In addition to Pluto’s newest summer collection, their basic lines are available as well. Basic would not be a good choice of terminology, however, to describe these lovely pieces that exude timeless elegance. Both PinkCamellia.com and NancyMeyer.com have large selections of the luxuriously, rich garments. Long fleece robes, flannel nightshirts, jacquard pyjamas, and cotton gowns make fashion statements of the garments even while sleeping.

The short ribbed nightdress, with lace edgings under the arms, along the hem and above the neckline, is fitted to look elegant with matching robe in pretty white, turquoise or lilac. A cool cotton pyjama set in sleeveless top with ruffles along the hem and bow at the back of the waist couples with the cropped pants in turquoise and white stripes.

Pluto may have been dropped, to some, from the list of planets but Pluto Lingerie is not ready to become archived yet. Their collections have endured since 1976 and individual pieces are sold throughout the world at high-end boutiques and quality online retailers.

The photos are anything but high quality, but they’re still worth a watch as I really like the summer-vibe Chantal Levesque has put into the pieces… I’m trying to get my hands on some real high-res photos of the swimwear, so keep your eyes peeled!

Overall, loving it. The luxury designer has done some great bra and panties sets — but I’m simply adoring the more decadent pieces; the lavender camisole, the sheer robe, the sheer lace top, the babydoll and the breathtaking white dress. They’re true highlights of a great collection! They’re trying to retain their “designer of the year” trophy at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris this week, I’m sure!

As you can see, a daring and sexy collection, but I like it a lot!

Now, that’s really where things go wrong. Their website is an Italian-only little corporate info page, with links to collection photos in pdf files, and hardly any real eyecatchers… Why? I don’t know — but their luxurious pieces are not reflected in their somewhat unexistant PR-approach…

Luckily, we’re all about the lingerie, so we look beyond the mediocre promotion… Take a look at these beautiful photos (sorry, the quality is mediocre — don’t blame me!) of these excellent camis, balconettes and babydolls… enjoy!
