When I was a very little girl, some of my first sets of underwear were the days-of-the-week style. I distinctly remember being excited to pick out the correct day every morning, and I think they are part of what started my love of fun underpinnings! The popular British designer is pairing with Bendon, the New Zealand-based company that handles Elle Macpherson Intimates, will launch her Spring/Summer ’08 line at Neiman Marcus in mid-February.Stella McCartney lingerieMcCartney talks about her inspiration, which started at an early age:

“I was obsessed with French slips, lace inlays and handwork. When I think about lingerie, I tend to think of really handmade precious pieces. … The intimacy that a woman has with her lingerie is quite inspiring.”

The collection will include feminine bras, briefs, bodysuits, and chemises with prices ranging from $45 to $325. All of the pieces have sweet and girly names, like Daisy Dreaming, Eve Giggling, Mia Winking and Coco Blushing. Apparently McCartney is following the same aesthetic as her outerwear – frilly, coquettish, and super sweet!

The pieces will not be on the affordable end of the spectrum with +/-$90 for knickers to $580 for chemises. That’s about the only information there is right now (thanks to Stuff NZ!), but we’re expecting more info on this very soon!
