The sisters graduated with degrees in Fine Arts and masters in Marketing. They spent years working for various fashion and lingerie companies in Brazil and France. The sisters decided there was a market for high end lingerie in Brazil and began the company in 1994.

The duo produces two distinct product lines: Opera Diva and Grand Finale. The Opera Diva has several collections and is the vehicle for Fruit’s fine lingerie products. Grand Finale has fewer collections and is mostly ‘comfortable’ sleepwear. I’m entranced by the Opera Diva line. It has so many great pieces.




Fruit de la Passion has around 10 company stores around Brazil. I don’t think you can buy these pieces online yet, but I hope the sisters offer an e-commerce offering soon. This is the store in Rio de Janeiro
