Marysia (named after its founder’s nickname) debuted to the fashion world with its cruise 2008 collection, and after a few successful seasons, Polish designer Maria Dobrzanska Reeves has now launched the swim 2010 collection taking inspiration from her childhood memories of attending ballet school.

The new ballerina-meets-punk line contrasts soft with hard, subtle with edgy and dainty with bold. Marysia accomplishes the fusion of the two opposites by incorporating high-waisted bikini bottoms paired with ruffle and rouched tops, soft pinks and subtle tones accentuated with hints of neon, heavy zippers, bold studs and other details. This line also marks the brand’s expansion into new design categories including cover-ups, loungewear and dresses.

The whole line, which was produced in the U.S., is fabricated with Reeves’ signature Italian jersey, which is environmentally-sensitive and offers UV protection. Check out some of the campaign images below and the runway footage!
