After being judged for various categories, the winning entries were finally announced this week.

The wacky entries were judged by a panel of three to determine the winners for the following categories:

Most Innovative – “Blue-footed Boobie”
Best Use of Embellishment - “Lady Big, Lady Bug, Fly Away Home…”
Best Use of Color – “Lilacs for Mom”
Most Effective Breast Cancer Message – “Fight Like A Girl”
Most Humorous – “Thing 1 and Thing 2”

Judges Choice:
“Flower Power” (Sharon Stroud)
“Don’t Gamble With Your Life” (Lorry Chwazik)
“Time for Reflection” (Gina Chapman)

Through sponsorship from The Common Threads Quilters Guild of Vestal, NY, the uniquely decorative bras will be on display at several locations around the upstate NY area through November, and will then be auctioned off at the final reception.

So they’re turning to you, lingerie lovers and customers, to help them design it. Here’s their current logo:

It’s going to be the biggest change to the site since it began nearly a decade ago, and will be right at the cutting edge of Web 2.0 technology (which means lots of interactivity all your social networking malarkey) and more.

So, a thought occurred… why not open up the design process and have a logo competition. The rules are simple:

1. You can invent/create/design a new logo (and possibly slogan) for Stockings HQ using any font, colour scheme and design elements you like. It can be just a logo or a whole design treatment for the front page of the site. It has to be done on a computer but you can use any software you like.

2. All you have to do is email a JPEG or GIF to me (david@stockingshq.com) by the closing date of July 18th.

3. I’ll post the entries to a page on the site and work out some way of letting people vote on them.

4. The person who submits the winner (chosen by a combination of visitor votes and an editorial judging process) will get £100 to spend in the Stockings HQ shop.

5. We can’t guarantee to actually use it on the site (I haven’t seen any of the entries yet, so that would be a bit too much of a gamble!) but if it’s absolutely spot on, and you give us permission, it could well become the new official design for the site.

6. I’m sure I’ve missed something important, as it’s late at night and I’m sleep deprived, so I reserve the right to publish a more comprehensive set of rules on the site in due course.

7. And that’s it! Time to get creative…

If you’ve ever dreamed of being a lingerie model, this is your chance! Beginning on May 1, 2009, Brastop will start looking for a new woman to be the face (and bust) of the company to model new styles for the DD+ market. To qualify, you must be “confident, gorgeous, and naturally fuller busted.” We’re telling you about this now so that you can start working on your entries! From May 1-22, Brastop will be collecting pictures from all contestants. You must submit 3 pictures of yourself in lingerie or swimwear, and 2 headshots. Then, beginning June 1, Brastop will hand-select the 30 semi-finalists and let the public vote! The 10 finalists from the public vote will be invited to London to participate in a professional photoshoot. All the professional pictures from this photoshoot will be posted for the public to vote once more, and on July 27, the winner of the 2009 Star in a Bra Competition will be named!

Your 5 initial entry photos don’t have to be professional, but they do need to show off your curves! Brastop is looking for a gorgeous everyday woman – not the bodies you see everyday in magazines! To give you some inspiration, here is last year’s winner, Emma:
