Dreaming (left): Pastels are everywhere this Spring/Summer and so Damaris brings you a softer hue in the classically dreamy set of Dreaming. A story for alternative tone and intricate detail with a beautiful draping bow for the bra; perhaps the softest of all designs this season in a lemon silk satin stretch chiffon.

Enchanting (right): For sparkling beauty and the most intricate story this season, look no further than the charismatic set of Enchanting. Full of striking designs, trims and alternatives such as the floor length gown. This is a truly majestic story, born from the most delicate Chantilly Leavers Lace.

Like I said, this all started with knickers, the designer’s big addiction, but right now the collection consists of matching Boudoir Jackets (totally frivolous but oh so satisfying!) as well as garters and bows which double as hair pins and brooches.

When we asked the designer her views on her lingerie she said: “I would like to see buying lingerie to become as popular as treating yourself to a haircut or getting your nails done. Lingerie is in that bracket, something that makes you feel good about yourself. I think all women agree that when you are wearing something beautiful under your clothing then you feel all the more attractive. Lingerie doesn’t need to be for your partner, it should be ultimately for you, then of course he or she gets a bonus treat too!”

There are a number of other collections in this group I am eager to see in stores this Fall! “Enchanted” follows a unique, Carol Malony trend of matching muted colors with a pop of neon. Made of French stretch lace and silk chiffon in muted lavender, this seemingly sweet set shows its sassiness with a neon green edge to the Bloomer Panty as well as the same pop of color to the bra. This one-of-a-kind, Carol Malony “WOW” factor is also seen in the racy, leopard mesh, “Here Kitty Kitty” and the bright and colorful lace and silk satin, “Tropical Punch.”

In the Fall 2008 Carol Malony Signature collection, the glitz and glamour of the cabaret is evoked in each piece, while still retaining the Carol Malony flair. The official Mint Siren website introduces the brand as follows: “Mint Siren was created in 2005 by the Swedish designer Josefine Wing, and quickly became a favorite for many vixens around the world. Using high quality fabrics like silk satins and chiffon, deep pile cotton velvets, rich wools and power stretch netting Mint Siren has created a style that marries romantic retro flavor with modern fashion. There are obvious ties with traditions of burlesque, but Mint Siren offers styles that invite to be used with your regular wardrobe.”

When we look at the high resolution photos we’ve gotten, we can only be amazed. The pure luxury of these pieces is so obvious. They’re not cheap — but seeing as you’re clearly getting value for money that’s not even a bad thing. You’re getting a total package; quality and the x-factor. I can only agree with Faire Frou Frou’s Alison Rubke when she says: “Her [Josefine Wing] philosophy is to create flattering, sensual clothing with a retro flavor for the modern woman. Her brand is described as being lavish and provocative; designed for ladies with a passion for extravagance. It’s about having fun with your femininity.”

Nerys really has done it again: a satin chiffon silk lingerie bag, super-soft silk cuffs for the ultimate spoildage (I invented the word!) and a gorgeous sheer silk kimono gown that’s guaranteed to make you feel like billionaire.

My own little favorite is the stunning Caresse Balconette (£65 at SS, £45 for the matching briefs!) — but my friends seem to like the eccentric Douche De Champagne Lace Top (£185 with matching thong!), and I have to admit it’s the most eye-catching piece in the collection…

But, her biggest commercial succes to date was her affordable swimwear and lingerie line that was sold in New Look stores all over England. These collections date back to the end of 2006 (and the first months of this year), but hadn’t made it onto TLP before — so I decided to go back into time a bit, and post the photos here anyway!

The lingerie collection was very sober, yet elegant and classy. Prices were at the lower end of the spectrum: £5-10 for thongs/briefs, £15/25 for bras and about £25 for the matching kimonos. Affordable!

I’m not sure whether or not New Look and Kelly Brook are planning new collections (they have a new clothing line, but hey, that’s not our thing!), but if they ever decide to go at it again, we’ll be here reporting!

“When designing a new range I let my passion for color and lace be influenced by the latest fashion trends. Each piece has to be special-creative, feminine and seductive. Each sample must have a ‘Wow factor’, or it doesn’t go into production.”

After seeing the 2007 collection (way too late, I admit, the pieces first saw daylight in February), I have to admit — none of these pieces look ordinary. Great choice of colors, silks, laces — and all very sexy. As you can see — Sally is extremely versatile: loads of different styles and looks. I usually like collection to have some sort of theme — but this overload of styles is fun too! Enjoy the pics!

I am one of the newest fans of the barely-year-old line, sheandme. Named after its very talented designers, Shirin Azad and Mitra Sanai, this intimates and loungewear line is known for what its tagline claims, “sexy comfort.” While I haven’t had a chance to try out their fun and functional collection, I was able to view many of the versatile pieces up close and personal and feel the smooth, buttery silk modal. In such a short time, sheandme (pronounced she – and – me) has established itself in the industry because, as according to the designers, they listen to their customers and respond to their needs for classic, but stylish basics. But just because the camis, chemises, and capris are basics, doesn’t mean they are basic! Designed for today’s modern woman who is balancing the demands of work, family, friends, hobbies, and home, a number of pieces (like the camis) can double as outerwear making them an essential element to your wardrobe. I am already eagerly anticipating the holiday collection. Cute and cozy, it’s perfect for a night of snuggling up by a fire, so be on the lookout at a retailer near you or online.

As if that wasn’t enough, these innovative ladies are going green and creating an organic collection made of 100% organic cotton for all you eco-friendly girls out there! The hoodies, lounge pants, shorts, boyshorts, and more will be available in natural as well as colors.

Even better, sheandme demonstrates its devotion to empowering women not just through its comfortable and fashionable intimates, but also by featuring positive affirmations on their care labels. Additionally, they also are contributors to including their feature charity, The Tahirih Justice Center. This organization addresses the need for legal services for immigrant and refugee women fleeing abuse. So if you are an especially eco-friendly or social conscious woman, you can feel confident purchasing from the sheandme collection. Not only can you buy sexy, comfortable intimates, but also know that part of the proceeds will be donated to improve the lives of other women.

On a different note, my new favorite luxury line is that of Lavande SWK, Luxe Underpinnings & Intimate Apparel. Designed by Stacey Walker King, this collection of rich silk, lace, and chiffon is absolutely decadent. I particularly love the rich palette of colors from ink to midnight to crème. Such great attention to detail is evident in each piece of the collection from the Swarovski crystal buttons to the eyelash lace trims. You are guaranteed to feel beautiful, sexy, and confident in these one of a kind, high fashion pieces.
