New Commando for Fall

You’ve been hearing for years just how much I love Commando Intimates – my no-VPL go-to brand. I was most recently excited about the addition of their cotton collection. Now, I’m excited to share about the new, fashion forward additions for fall. Not only can you have a smooth fit under your slinkiest skirts and clingiest dresses, but you also can have a little fun with it! The fall and holiday prints are just another reminder as to why wearing Commando is so much better than going commando!

The soft lace collection, available in stores now, includes thongs, bikinis, high-rise panties, camis and a great new mid-length a-line slip with commando’s patent-pending weighted hem. Personally, I love the touch of glamour and sophistication that the lace adds.

The swiss dot collection and the holiday lace collection, both be available later this fall, are a fun and festive way to heat things up as it gets colder outside.

Cami Too by Fashion Forms

There are plenty of times when you might not want to show off your cleavage like in the office, meeting your new boyfriend’s parents, or your grandma’s 90th birthday party. Most women either opt not to wear their favorite plunging tops, or they cover up with a camisole. These extra layers can be unwanted and unnecessary in summer’s heat, but Cami Too by Fashion Forms solves that problem!

Cami Too is a detachable lace piece that gives you additional coverage and the illusion of a camisole. You put it on over your head (like a regular camisole) and then attach it to your bra straps with the incorporated hooks. There are other similar produts on the market (click here to view the Winkee) but this is my personal favorite. I have several and reach for them often when a top seems a bit too low. It’s also very easy to go from day to night with the Cami Too – just slip it off at the end of a work day and stash it in your bag before meeting friends for drinks!

They recently caught the eye of the editors over at Glamour who have featured the summery Joanna Balconnet Bra in its Dos and Don’ts of Going Bare spread. Clearly, Joanna is definitely a Do! Baby Grand British Lingerie

Baby Grand is a relatively new label out of Britain. The company started as a pastime of making gift knickers for friends. The handcrafted vibe continues to guide the company. Baby Grand takes pride in creating something one of a kind. They offer a customised bespoke service for existing designs and their London atelier can even handle private commissions.

On the left is a black chiffon playsuit. The price is £245.00. It is a sheer one-piece garment with silk covered buttons up the front. On the right is bow back bandeau and knickers. The bandeau is silk with a large black bow in back for £71.00. The coordinating knicker is £49.00 with a solid silk front and polkadot mesh panel in back.

Baby Grand offers roughly twelve sets comprised of 16-18 pieces. They plan to offer limited edition pieces likely around Christmas and Valentine’s Day. The inspiration for the pieces is a love of 1940s and ’50s screen siren glamour, this is a label that takes inspiration from the classic pin up girl, with a sprinkling of the film noir femme fatale, and brings it up to date for the modern boudoir and beyond.

On the left is the mint babydoll slip. It is priced at £155.00 and made from French silk chiffon. This is strapless and you can also pick up the matching knicker. On the right, the babydoll camisole. This is slightly shorter than the slip and is £145.00.

One thing I really like about these Va Bien styles as opposed to other similar products is that these actually come in real, honest-to-goodness bra sizes. You buy the Va Bien ultra-Lift Smooth Solutions products in 34B, 36D, 38E, etc. instead of Small, Medium, and Large. You guys know how picky I am about wearing bras that fit correctly, so it would be a definite deal-breaker for me if these didn’t come in defined bra sizes.
