For the award show, Affinitas will be featuring their entries into the Best Daywear, Best Fashion Lingerie, and Best Seamless. The Best Daywear entry is a cami and hipster set from the light and summery Sandra collection. The clean white background with pops of baby blue, pale pink, and grass green will be sure to keep you looking (and feeling) cool on hot summer nights. In the category of Fashion Lingerie, the entry is from the flirty Helen collection. A bustier and matching skirted thong feature a number of intricate details from embroidered overlays to simple bows. The Grace plunge push-up bra and corresponding hipsters are contending for the title of Best Seamless.

For Fall 2008, more “women” are added to the collection as the brand plans to incorporate even more fashion colors and prints to attract a wide variety of personalities. Affinitas Intimates are currently sold at boutiques throughout the United States.

Breadth of Serenity is just that indeed! A clean, white double layered mesh is topped with a vibrant, royal purple scrolling embroidery, which immediately transported me to the Mediterranean in my mind! The group has something to offer everyone. The lightly lined balconette bra accomodates cups A-D, while the lightly padded full coverage bra fits C-F cups. Both feature the delicate, scalloped straps as well as the coordinating organza bow with a crystal tear drop charm.

Bottoms include a g-string hipster, bikini brief, and boyshort. All of which include the organza bow detailing in addition to their own unique elements including additional embroidery, pleating, and a key hole. In true Pfiff style, you’ll not only look fabulous from the front, but from the back as well! The group is complete with both a camisole and chemise. Mix and match to create new, opulent looks every night of the week.

For the ultimate in sophistication, Dramatic Entrances pairs a soft, tactel microfiber with Leavers lace and mesh. The palest green is accented with an inky black in a group reflecting the Art Deco style. Again, amazing detailing is featured throughout and sizes A-F are provided options through the fashionable demi padded push up bra and lightly lined full coverage bra.

The tanga features a unique, lined mesh cut out detail in the back as well as a double banded side while the wide-side thong features detachable garters! For more coverage, choose the hipster. Additional options include a lightly padded underwire bustier and a chemise with an adjustable tie back. This group is so fantastic and detailed, it could have been called Dramatic Exits as well!

Of course, the Pfiff year-round, continuous collections (including Lavish Bouquet and Moments of Seduction) are always available in stores.

The 2008 Autumn/Winter collection is launched and it includes many individual collections and pieces. The pieces are undisputedly gorgeous and Fine Lines is a beautiful range of lingerie but the website is lacking in information as to the fabrics and trimmings. Bras and panties this lovely should be described.

Bright and vibrant colours, pretty delicate prints and bold sexy statements characterize the collections called Glamour, Rose Garden and Seduction. The Carnation collection consists of an underwire contour bra with matching brief or g-string and a sweet little chemise with g-string. Available in pink/marine and cream/blush, the bodice detailing is exquisite.

Available in May 2008, the Body Essentials five way convertible bra in mulberry comes with an extra strap so that the bra can be worn regular, halter, halter low back, regular low back and cross over back. The Intimacy Collection is gorgeous in delicate rose pink intimacy and intense burgundy intimacy. Four pieces make up the set. Pull on bustier with garter straps, brief underpants, and underwire contour bra with pretty lace knicker panties.

Fine Lines Lingerie also offers a Sports Collection line as well as a Convertible Maternity Bra. According to Vogue.com.au, Fine Lines has been in business since 1989 and “are synonymous with producing up-to-the-minute fashion, bridal and special occasion lingerie, as well as the best everyday push-up, t-shirt and strapless bras”.

Some of the items are available online through their own website and shipped internationally but most are sold through authorized stockists. Performing a quick search provided websites such as BraShop.co.nz and ModaLingerie.com.au who sell pieces of the Fine Lines Collections.

As always, Marie Jo has created an extremely classy and luxurious line, with loads of pretty laces and floral details. As you may remember from previous posts, this label is one of my personal favorites (and the real pride of Belgium in the lingerie market!).

Not sure about new online retailers for shoppers worldwide, but I’m always on the lookout! Non-EU readers will have to do with these photos for now, I’m affraid.

The “Carrie” collection is described as “whimsical and eclectic” and features a push up bra, bustier, and low rise thong in a black, floral print tulle. Of course, it wouldn’t be a “Carrie” look without the contrasting animal print trim! While the signature “Carrie” look is in Black Rose, the collection will also be available in Ivory Rose.

The “Samantha” collection is featured in juicy Passion Fruit and contains a spicy bra, low rise thong, and garter belt (of course!). Made with French Chantilly style lace with fine, micro-dot mesh, this collection is sure to please!

With contrasting Blue Violet and Sky Blue tulle and lace, the “Miranda” collection is chic and practical, just like the character. A molded bra, low rise hotpants, and a low rise thong are the signature items. Items will also be available in Magenta and Hot Pink.

And for the sweet and feminine, Charlotte, Cosabella has designed a camisole, long pant, and low rise thong made of soft modal and an eco-friendly bamboo fiber. The signature “Charlotte” collection will be featured in Ecru with Ecru accents, but also available in Black with Ecru accents.

I know these items will be worth the wait! Please let us know in our forums as soon as you see them at a store near you. In the meantime, buy other beautiful Cosabella camis, bras, thongs, and more at your local boutique or department store as well as online at Bare Necessities or Chic Mystique.

This is a time of year when we have a lot of new lingerie coming in, like this lovely bustier from the new Toulouse range from Luxxa. This is one of my own personal favourites among the new designs.

But behind the initial pleasure of parcel opening there is some anxiety. I can’t help wondering if we have chosen a winner or made a massive mistake and will be discounting like mad in a month or so to get rid of the line! Last year we tried asking our customers via our monthly newsletter what they thought of some of the designs we were considering. It seemed a good democratic way to make our stocking decisions and a sure fire way of ensuring items would sell but the responses were so variable we were scared to use the results as the basis for our decisions and carried on as before.

This brings me to how we make our purchasing decisions. Obviously we study trends and our own sales statistics. We also have a wish list facility on the site and we pull statistics from that in addition to reading The Lingerie Post avidly to pick up on the buzz among true lingerie fanatics. Then there are basic factors like quality standards and our house style but after that we are left with gut instinct. Yes, I did say gut instinct and finally, most important of all – wow factor. A new addition to our range must be capable of taking breath away. It may not always be my breath – it is a team decision after all. But the Toulouse design from Luxxa was definitely a heart stopping moment for me, while this amazingly tiny micro g-string from Lola Luna did it for Jen, my assistant and general woman of all work who puts me to shame for the number of hours she works – thanks Jen.

It is not an accident that I chose Luxxa and Lola Luna as examples of our purchasing decisions. They were two of the brands we launched the business with in 2006 and they are expert in producing heart stopping sexy lingerie. Lola Luna is undoubtedly the market leader in the design and manufacture of sexy g-strings and for this reason we carry their entire range.
