			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lingerie generally is traditional, feminine, functional, or sporty.  Rarely is it considered avant garde.  Nona De Samim is trying to change that perception with her N De Samim collection.  She ignores the line between underwear and outerwear and peppers her designs with unexpected cutouts that frame a peephole into the feminine form.  She designs shirts, dresses, slips, robes, and knickers (sometimes shoes too &#8212; at least on her shopping site).</p>
<p>Nona is influenced by history, specifically 16th century France.</p>
