Jesus Fernandez’ Spring 2010 collection is titled Retro and features elements from the twenties. Satin, lace, pearls and bows give the collection a vintage feel. The intricate embroidery also has a Great Gatsby style inspiration that makes you wish you were there.

“Retro means for Jesus Fernandez the femininity, the smoothness [and] the most precious garments,” reads Fernandez’s Web site. “In this collection we incorporated silk and a wide variety of Italian fabrics such as satin, musbiel, bisou, jacquards [and] French lace.”

This last collection is inspired by the feelings and sensations that this city shows through the contrasts between innovation and tradition, between the silence and the noise, between the strength of a large city and the simplicity of the little corners full of delicate details. The omnipresent technology in contrast with the artisan procedures.

Jesús Fernández incorporated flower motifs with the japanese aesthetics, monochromatic items, Italian fabrics, liberty motifs, stripes and our classics polka dots. Lots of skin colors, dry greens and fuchsias were used, and the label returned to “our essence of black and cream colors”.Jesús Fernández proposes to interchange the underwear. Flowers and bows take personality and the details such as velvet and gallons are of special attention.

Jesús Fernández completes the collection with a new line of camisoles, layers and retro style accessories such as gloves, sleeping masks and feathers. The designer says: “We mix the oriental style with the occidental in a retro mood full of sophistication, for that special women, so unique, in order to raise their inner feminine strength.”

Jesus worked hard on using the most luxurious italian silk satin, switzerland embroideries and delicated laces. The products are produced in a corsetry laboratory, with artisan techniques. The sets go through manual processes of dyeing, cutting and sewing. All the details are made by a team of artisans, all by hand.

She left school and she dedicates herself to follow the band to all the national festivals. Peace and Love and a little bit of rock. In some years, this local band will dedicate a very popular song to her.

…she was born in Provence, France, in 1870. She is a teacher at a rural school and she is the sexiest young lady in town. Not only she teaches the mathematical formula but also the formula to be always a charming woman.

Well, after taking a look at their website, I can safely say: check them out! They have brands I had never heard of! Miss Nuvem, AmorLatino, Corpo e Arte, Burdel, Karamel and Jesús Fernández. All of these brands are quite famous in South-America, but hey, I just don’t live there , so I have a valid excuse!

Their brands make them so interesting and surely worth a visit. You’ll see styles and pieces you can’t find anywhere else in the UK, and some of them are truly breathtaking! White Orchid handpicked their designers from a very big pool of latina brands based on quality and femininity, good standards if you ask me!

Check out this Burdel Erotiques top and knickers set. It’s a beautiful chemise-like lace top that has beautiful embroidery detail. The vedettina knickers top it off completely! It’s not cheap though, at £75 for the set.

Now, some of these pieces are true bargains! This stunning Cool Lavander set by Amor Latino features an exquisite triangle bra with beautiful golden trim on the cups and a matching bottom for just £39. I guess I’m not the only one who liked it either as Glamour featured it in their ’50 best pieces list’ in their february 2007 issue.
