Intimissimi Winter 2010 Preview

It’s so hard these days to get real information from Intimissimi now that they’re no longer stocked by Victoria’s Secret in the USA – but these great photos show Intimissimi as we’re used to seeing them: playful, pretty and extremely versatile.

The beautiful model is not Irina Sheik this time, but the pretty and unknown Diana Morales.

No more Intimissimi at Victoria’s Secret in the US?

For the last couple years, Victoria’s Secret has been carrying Intimissimi in quite a lot of their stores in the United States. We mentioned that the brand was planning to end the Intimissimi line in their stores, and it seems like our fear has become reality.

I am not located in the United States myself, but after checking with some of my friends, it appears quite a few Victoria’s Secret stores that used to carry Intimissimi have recently stopped stocking it. Reader Lucia let us know this is already the case in her VS-store in Oregon, but apparently this is happening in most Victoria’s Secret locations…

Can anyone confirm this? I tried contacting Victoria’s Secret myself, but they’re extremely quiet…

Intimissimi Lingerie Winter 2009-2010

We have quite a few Intimissimi Lingerie fans amongst our readers – so we’re always trying to get photos of their upcoming collections on TLP as soon as possible. Today, we’ve got a full photo set of their upcoming Winter collection for ’09-’10. It’s not clear which of these will actually make it to the United States – but with this collection packed with cute babydolls, bustiers, bralettes and chemises alongside the essential bras and panties, we’re hoping Victoria’s Secret will stock as much as possible in some of their boutiques.

We’ll try to keep you up to date with news about sightings in VS stores across the US (please do feel free to assist in the comments section below!).

The label is still sticking with their favorite model, Irina Shaykhlislamova, who looks beautiful in these photos yet again.

Irina Shaykhlislamova is quickly becoming Intimissimi‘s in-house model, and I can only applaud that. Here showing off the Summer 2009 loungewear & sleepwear collection of the Italian mega-label (rumored to be leaving all Victoria’s Secret shops in the US soon!), looking beautiful as always.

We’ve shown you the Calzedonia collection for Spring/Summer 2009, and here are some great photos of the main Intimissimi label’s new Summer 2009 line, modeled by the brand’s favorite supermodel Irina Shaykhlislamova.

Calzedonia is the parent company of Intimissimi. Calzedonia began in 1986/7 in Verona Italy. Calzedonia is mostly known for their hosiery and basic underwear. They are also known for building a very large franchise network of 1,100 stores in Italy and throughout Europe and the rest of the world. In 1996, Calzedonia began the brand Intimissimi. We’ve featured Intimissimi on TLP many times before. Calzedonia believes Intimissimi is a successful brand and an absolute leader in Italy in the underwear world. It has conquered the public by offering dreams and emotions in its quality products. Its collections are appreciated by men and women as they present a new natural way to enjoy underwear, making it softer and more sensitive to personal needs.

Intimissimi was one of the few “high-end” brands Victoria’s Secret carried, but I think with the new economic realities and the company wanting to move away from sexy, it may be hard to find this brand in all but a few VS stores in the US. There are some pieces available from the VS web site.

These pictures are from the 2009 Spring/Summer collection. Within the Women’s line, they have three offerings: underwear, easywear, and jersey. Another line is called “Basic Comfort” and is really every day underwear for women. Finally, they have a line for men, consisting of many lounge pants and some knickers that look like most of the offerings from Ginch Gonch for men.

The corporate site isn’t offering e-commerce. They have introduced a “wardrobe” tool that allows you to add cherished pieces and then email the wardrobe to a friend. Try this sample wardrobe to see how it works. It is pretty neat, but I think I would prefer a real shopping cart.

Intimissimi is one of those Italian brands that quickly became famous in the USA tagging along on the Victoria’s Secret train. The gigantic chain of lingerie retailers stocks Intimissimi in most of their larger boutiques, and the lingerie has become a favorite for many thousands of American women.

Their latest collection, their winter 07/08 line, will probably only enlarge their fanbase in the US. Why? The collection is an excellent combination of sexy pieces, wearable daily pieces and ultra-cosy loungewear for long winter nights on the sofa. Honestly — it all looks great! Pics below are from the official Intimissimi website, completely updated and well worth visiting!

You know I like to add photo sets of supermodels in lingerie every once in a while… Today, it’s the upcoming Russian beauty Irina Shaykhlislamova, featured as a ’07 Rookie in the SI Swimsuit Edition, for one of our loved brands: the Italian label Intimissimi.

I realise the photos have an ugly yellow banner, but these were the best ones I could find… Please forgive me for the imperfection — they’re still well worth checking out full size!
