In the early 2000s, Frankly Darling was one of the key labels driving the next wave of British lingerie. The goal of the label was to be glamorous and British without being campy or trite. Debbie liked the bird motif in her logo and in her designs – often using the bluebird. These designs could feel sophisticatedly vintage. However, the volume from Frankly Darling was not consistent. The corporate site was silent in 2006, then came back only to go without updates for many months in 2007. At this point, the domain is no longer resolving. Here is a montage of some of the Frankly Darling designs from those years.

Just when it looks like the brand may not be around, I stumbled on new offerings at Be Cheeky. I emailed and received this explanation.

Be Cheeky has a few pieces to choose from and the price point is very different than I remember. Knickers are under 10$ US and bras are under 20$ US.

Not cheap, but very pretty and feminine, as always. I love the roses-printed silk padded bra, trimmed with peach satin and cream lace. I can see this working extremely well with the matching Brazilian briefs and suspender.
