The Spring/Summer 2010 collection was displayed in a series of artistic installations at the Galerie Morgen during the launch party.

Elle Macpherson, famous for shaking up the traditionally staid lingerie industry, could be considered to be bucking the trend of most business strategies in the current global economic climate by bringing her collection to Europe.  However, this signals the confidence in the strength of the Intimates brand and the unique fashion handwriting which is in demand in Europe.

Elle Macpherson, Creative Director of Intimates says taking my lingerie into Europe feels very much like a natural next step. “The reaction to the launch of Intimates in Europe has surpassed all our initial expectations. It’s a very exciting time for me and my design team.”

Today, I have more photos of the Boudoir by Elle Macpherson Intimates collection for this Fall/Winter 2009 season. Boudoir is the more luxurious and sensual side of Elle Macpherson Intimates. There are pieces you could wear for the day, but really these wisps of lace are meant less for handling the daily grind and more for showing off during romantic nights at home. Boudoir by Elle Macpherson Intimates doesn’t shy away from color (holding true to the main brand), but the colors here are more saturated or muted. They are more sophisticated than cheerful.

Here are some photos the brand sent us – my favorite is that deep purple set with the yellow accents.

I was fortunate enough to see the pieces up close and personal so I can vouch that they are as amazing as they look in pictures. That wasn’t the only treat. The namesake of the brand (yes, the Elle Macpherson) showed me her personal favorites in the collection!

So, what are my favorites? There are quite a few, but I’ll give you the highlights of what you should check out month to month.

In February, the EMI, corsetry-inspired staple Dentelle arrives in Strawberry Ice, a rich pink with contrasting lemon trim. March brings a color palette including a soft, angelic pink and vibrant peacoat blue. Ornez is particularly glamorous featuring a stretch silk layered with embroidery and lace. In April, Rumeur is sure to be a fan favorite. The half-cup contour bra, in stretch printed satin of cream and warm charcoal, flatters any bust line with its lace and grosgrain ribbon trim. I am especially a fan of the coordinating bikini. With its sheer back, it leaves just enough to the imagination.

For May, I like the gathered look of the vintage-inspired Signet in Warm Charcoal (seen here in Angelwing Pink). In June, be sure to check out Adorn. Sheer mesh in Spanish nude is accented by exposed construction detailing. Delightful! Lastly, for July, I love the lush wine coloring of the feminine, half-cup Artistry collection (seen here in Peacoat Blue).

Even more sophistication is found in the Boudoir collection. I like the Antique Green chemise. A silky little something with French lace cups is classic and elegant. The unique and striking contrast between the apricot and powder blue is lovely in the Dusky Apricot collection.

The show is taking a very glamorous retro turn which parallels what many designers are planning for their collections as evident in the pieces seen in this ad.
