For me, that means the holiday will be pretty low-key. I’ll be meeting my guy for lunch at a favorite restaurant, but we’ll probably be spending the evening at home like a lot of other couples who have work or school the next morning.

By all means, pull out all the stops in the bedroom! But what about the rest of the night, when you’re enjoying dessert or curling up in front of the fireplace? Valentine’s Day deserves something a little special and extra pretty even if you’re not leaving the house. Here are some of our favorite options for a cozy Valentine’s night in:

Sensing a need in the marketplace for quality and affordable intimates, the company decided to create the new line, which will include bralets, camisoles and panties that cost about half the price of traditional Eberjey products.

“We saw a need at the specialty store level for a line of everyday panties that are cute yet reasonably priced,” said co-founder and president of Eberjey, Mariela Rovito, in a press release. “The bluebird girl cares about her underpinnings, but doesn’t want to spend too much. She’s somewhat bored with the options available to her and is looking for panties that will liven up her lingerie drawer.” Ali Mejia, creative director and co-founder of Eberjey added: “While fit is still the number one priority, comfort and cuteness are tied for second.”

The initial launch will be comprised of three groupings: Amaya, which is set in featherweight mesh and lace ($16 to $28); Sienna, made of powernet and meant for everyday wear ($18 to $16); and Isabella, made of delicate galloon lace ($16 to $36).

Not only will New York City be hosting the Lingerie Americas trade show,Waldorf-Astoria but also National Underwear Day (more about that soon!) and the CILA (Contours International Lingerie Awards) Awards! And of course, we at TLP, will bring you all the important information and advancements in the world of lingerie.

On Monday, August 6th, Contours Magazine will present the 2nd annual CILA Awards at the exquisite Waldorf-Astoria in New York. Conceived by Ben Yedder, publisher of Contours, this event seeks to not only raise awareness of the role in which the ever-growing intimate apparel industry is playing on the fashion world but also celebrate the amazing talent of the designers bringing us those must have items! The event will begin with a cocktail party at 6:30 followed by dinner and a fashion show featuring the five finalists from each of the 16 categories including Best T-Shirt Bra, Best Nightwear Glamour, Best Bridal, Best Maternity, and more! Awards will be given to the winners of each category that evening as well. With brands such as Eberjey, Elle MacPherson, Panache, Simone Perele, and Chantelle being represented, it is sure to be a fantastic show.
