Corpo e Arte: Brazilian Lingerie

Corpo e Arte is a Brazilian producer of lingerie. They have two lines: a lingerie line and a sleepwear line. The lingerie line is well photographed, but only contains a handful of pieces. The sleepwear line is mostly cotton pieces with chemises and pajamas. The company also produces a few pieces for men — mostly boxers.

The company sells their product through branded stores scattered throughout Brazil. Currently, I can’t find any e-commerce options, so this is another Brazilian brand experienced mostly by residents and worldly travelers.

TayÃª — A Fresh Lingerie Concept for Brazil

In Brazil, the lingerie stores are usually tiny, with only some products displayed in the store, and the rest of them are kept closed in drawers – you have to ask the shopkeeper to show you what you are looking for. Research showed Brazilian women, like those in the rest of the world, want to see every option, want to touch, want to be able to choose for themselves with liberty and discretion.

Therefore, Taye was projected to provide exactly what women are looking for. All products available are displayed in the store, and are organized by colors, according to cromotherapy concept. The store has 3 distinct areas: the Comfort Zone, where the day-by-day products are; the Sophisticated Zone, with night and sexy lingeries, and the Bride’s room, a space dedicated to products specially designed for brides. Also, there are couches, a coffee corner and a huge fitting room. The store is located on the second floor of a historical house, which makes it private and discrete.

TayÃª means precious, adorable and darling. Just everything a woman wants to be. The store offers a complete range of products of the greatest lingerie brands in Brazil, and also sleepwear and loungewear (a concept that is quite new to Brazil).

Corpo e Arte: One innocent camisole

Ever since finding out about White Orchid I’ve been taking a closer look at their site on a daily basis. I’m convinced they have a great brand selection, and I’ll be showing you some of my personal favorites in the next few weeks.

Today, this girly Corpo e Arte cami style top and tanga panties combo. White orchid describes the set as “a white top with delicate pink trim around the decolletage and cute matching tanga knickers with golden trim. A perfect soft bra triangle top set to be worn under your favourite sweater, shirts and jeans!”. That’s what I love about these basic camisoles, you can really wear them how you like ‘m (above, or under – that is). They forget to mention the beautiful frill on the straps too – a great little extra if you ask me.

As you can see in the pictures it’s all very intimate and innocent looking. The beautiful Argentinian model showing the pieces makes it a picture perfect presentation. The set is available for Â£59, but you can now get Â£10 off (check out the right side of their website, it has a coupon!).

White Orchid: latina lingerie

I received an e-mail earlier this week from Silvina, the big boss woman of White Orchid, a brand spanking new online lingerie boutique, asking me very nicely whether or not I’d be interested in taking a look at their shop, and possibly writing a small article about it to let all of our British readers know they’re out there.

Well, after taking a look at their website, I can safely say: check them out! They have brands I had never heard of! Miss Nuvem, AmorLatino, Corpo e Arte, Burdel, Karamel and JesÃºs FernÃ¡ndez. All of these brands are quite famous in South-America, but hey, I just don’t live there , so I have a valid excuse!

Their brands make them so interesting and surely worth a visit. You’ll see styles and pieces you can’t find anywhere else in the UK, and some of them are truly breathtaking! White Orchid handpicked their designers from a very big pool of latina brands based on quality and femininity, good standards if you ask me!

Check out this Burdel Erotiques top and knickers set. It’s a beautiful chemise-like lace top that has beautiful embroidery detail. The vedettina knickers top it off completely! It’s not cheap though, at Â£75 for the set.

Now, some of these pieces are true bargains! This stunning Cool Lavander set by Amor Latino features an exquisite triangle bra with beautiful golden trim on the cups and a matching bottom for just Â£39. I guess I’m not the only one who liked it either as Glamour featured it in their ‘50 best pieces list’ in their february 2007 issue.

White Orchid also has a large stock of nighties and maternity clothes!
