They were founded sixty years ago in Dublin and caught my attention because they offered great looking bras in larger cup sizes. The Celebration collection is available in B-F cup for everyday comfort. During the early part of this decade, they introduced a younger line called B’ware. It was smashing.

Sadly, I don’t think they have continued that line. Now, Ballet seems to be HQ’d in Lancashire, England. The company introduced swimwear during 2005/6, focusing on its central message of ‘good fit’. Here are some images from their A/W 2008 collection.

I like the darker and richer colours from their Winter collection so now may be the time to do some bargain hunting. Ballet is available at Figleaves, Debenhams, Additions, Empire Stores, Undercover Experience, Just Bras, and many other retailers.

We’ve mentioned quite a lot of Eco-stuff on TLP before (read up in our ‘eco lingerie’ archives here!), but when Figleaves decides to really go for something, they beat everyone else when it comes to delivering. To make sure they don’t miss out on the eco-trent, Figleaves have launched Greenleaves — their dedicated deparment for ‘green products’ with the tag line: “Concerned about the environment but also want to look and feel good? Then Greenleaves is for you!”.

At this point, Greenleaves has 4 dedicated eco labels on display:

Figleaves has also added some eco products from other brands like Chantelle, Ballet and Amoralia in the Greenleaves department — as always different styles on the UK and US website.

That remains one of the downsides. Some of the pretty things on the Greenleaves UK shop are not on the Greenleaves US pages. Oh well! :)

This bra looks so much like an $85 beau bra one I have! Beautiful sheer mesh on the plunged cups, girly ribbon details on the thin straps and on sale as well! Down to $19.60 from $28 on the US website, £16 on the UK site!

3. O Lingerie Flirt bandeau bra
O Lingerie Flirt bandeau bra We’ve never mentioned O Lingerie on the website before, but this one deserved its spot! The $25 in the US and the £9.8 (down from £14) in the UK are rock bottom. The bra itself doesn’t look cheap at all though, especially thanks the beautiful floral lace trim on the cups. I’m buying this one straight away! ;-)
