London based lingerie designer Ayten Gasson has gone back to the roots of the British fashion industry for her most sensual collection yet!
The designer, currently in her 4th year, has launched her spring summer 2009 collection using the finest and most delicate trims sourced locally from the old lace mills in Nottingham, UK.
‘Once graduating from Central Saint Martins I found the lack of fashion opportunities in the UK disheartening. Many of the old lace mills and factories closed due to the trade being moved to the Far East as a cheaper alternative’.
The latest collection includes vintage inspirited silk camisoles, tap pants and all in one teddy. These are all trimmed with hand crafted cotton laces made in one of the last lace mills in the UK, also renowned for making the lace for Princess Diana’s wedding dress.
All pieces from the collection are made in house by the designer and her small team using traditional sewing methods, assuring each piece is made with loving care and is of the highest quality.
The collection is available from some of the most exclusive boutiques in the world, as well as in Paris department store Printemp, and Topshop’s flagship store in London. Online, we recommend our good friends over at La Magia!
