Enamore Lingerie Bamboo Parfait

Enamore has created a brand new range of lingerie for Valentine’s Day 2009. Bamboo Parfait is made from a lustrous black bamboo satin trimmed with icing pink lace and candy pink bows. The five piece range includes a bias cut camisole and nightie, ruffle shorts, soft bra and matching garter. The collection is sold either individually or as gift sets packaged in a gorgeous red heart patterned box lined with tissue paper all made from recycled materials. Luva Huva Adds Bamboo to Selection

According to several UK newspapers, Joanna Ketterer of Luva Huva recently added another group to her selection of handmade knickers. In addition to the end of line silks and cottons, she now sews her fancy knickers in materials made from the pulp of bamboo grass, which is similar to unspun cotton.

Barely a month into selling the new line, the most popular of the six items is the Bamboo Cream Knicker. Also available in bright ruby red and deep plum purple, each knicker has its own camisole to match. Like her other creations, these panties are beautiful with pretty lace around the waistband and little bows adorning the fabric. The legs of the knickers are gathered with elastic and finished with complementary stitching. The camisoles are equally as pretty with lace bordering the round neckline and the hem.

A perfect time to launch these newer pieces with the holiday season up and coming!

Oémée: French Lingerie

Oémée is a manufacturer of lingerie in France. Oémée is focused on the 30-50 year old demographic including wives and mothers. The designs are classic and only flirt with racy in some of the thongs. The choice of fabrics is consistent with the demographic. In addition to the traditional tulles, satins, microfiber, and organzas, Oémée also makes use of bamboo for many of their new designs.

Oémée produces only a small number of pieces which makes the choice of a floral print interesting since it is found in several different products for this year’s collection. Shopping is available from the Oémée site. Bras run about 40 to 55 € (~55-75 US, ~35-45 UK). Knickers run 25-40 € (~35-50 US, ~20-33 UK). Cosabella’s Fall Sex and the City Collection

The hype surrounding Sex and the City: The Movie has long faded and many of us are already anticipating the rumored sequel. However, Cosabella is keeping the energy of the four ladies going by reintroducing the Sex and the City collection for fall. While the collection may include different styles, colors, and textures from the original collection released back in May, it continues to keep the sexy and sassy essence of the show and the characters. Available in stores now, just weeks before the September 23rd DVD release, the second Sex and the City collection is guaranteed to be a blockbuster.

Carrie is bold. For fall, the Carrie collection, including a camisole, brief, and g-string, is bold as well. In a vibrant pink called Lipstick, each piece is created from a new, scallop edged lace.

The classy Charlotte collection again uses the eco-friendly bamboo, but adds a 3/4 sleeve top perfect for the crisp autumn nights. The collection, including the long pants and low-rider thong, are available in an earthy Sage.

The sassy Samantha collection doesn’t disappoint! Complete with a bustier, low-rider hotpants, and a low-rider thong, the Samantha collection features a spotted black and tan feline print in tulle with black lace trim.

Cosabella Goes “Green” for 25th Anniversary

Cosabella has just released a Fall 2008 Essentials Collection that will be a little kinder on the world. The new Eden Bamboo range is designed in a soft, luxurious blend of modal (made from the pulp of beech trees) and innovative bamboo fibers in natural colors like onion, carrot, ecru, radish, earth, and sage. The loungewear is simple but girly, with small ruffle details on the camisoles, babydolls, boxers, quarter sleeve top, thongs, and pants.

Other styles out for Fall 2008 are made of traditional fabricsand feature lingerie and sleepwear in bold colors, vintage-inspired laces, tattoo styling, and signature prints. For a bit of a flirtier touch, there is plenty of metallic embroidery, Swarovski diamontes, oversize florals, and shiny microfiber.

This is a great collection to celebrate Cosabella’s 25th anniversary! The company was founded in 1983 by Ugo and Valeria Compello. The company has headquarters in Miami, Florida, and the swimwear, apparel, hosiery, loungewear, and lingerie are manufactured in Italy. Zimmerli of Switzerland Launches “Attitudes”

I have never heard of this luxury label, Zimmerli of Switzerland, even though it has been in business for over one hundred and thirty five years. In fact, their slogan is “The World’s Finest Underwear”. And while they may be a luxury line, when you view the page of stockists, you only find one online retailer. Admittedly, in the company profile, they state that Zimmerli is a micro-niche and when I did an internet search, many sites did come up so most likely their supply chain is not as narrow as the website suggests. But the undergarments do look beautiful and the price is certainly one that suggests luxury so I wanted to take a moment and mention the brand.

Zimmerli offer camisoles, underpants and pyjamas in cotton, wool, silk, bamboo and Pureness micromodal adorned with delicate pieces of stretch French lace. Their newest ladies’ collections for 2008 are Belle de Jour, a stretchy, skin-friendly fabric knitted without side seams and perfect for keeping the skin dry, as well as, Attitudes, made with the finest Pima cotton and enhanced with Lycra for perfect fit. This is a simple but elegant collection containing a v-neck tank top, sleeveless shell, short and long sleeve shirts, rio bikini, regular panty and hipster panty.

Having a quick peek at their older collections, I am sorry that I did not know about this label earlier.

Urban Fox Lingerie – Eco-Conscious 2008 Collections

Urban Fox, “lingerie for the knockout” has released both their Spring and Fall 2008 collections. A fabulous looking eco-lingerie label made of organic cotton and bamboo, the designs and colours are inviting. Pictures of models reading books and in acrobatic poses like at the circus make Urban Fox garments look very comfortable. In addition to the environmentally friendly materials, the undies and loungewear are all handmade.

Boy shorts, matching camisoles, lace undies and beautiful long stockings make up this collection in pink, cream, blue, yellow and gray. One pair of panties even comes lovingly decorated with hand painted stars.

Created by designers Lizzie Cook and Megan Power, in 2006, they both realized that there was a void in the organic lingerie market and at the same time, they knew they had the abilities to design their own small label. At present, the website does not offer online ordering so international sales are not possible. It appears as though they are only sold in two boutiques in California but for such a new and upcoming label, they are sure to become very popular.

Cosabella Sex and the City Collection: Launch Party Highlights & Fall 2008

We are under a week until the movie of the year hits screens! Shown below are some photos from the Cosabella Sex and the City Collection Launch Party at Bloomingdales. The event was a lot of fun for all those attended. The first 100 attendees even received tickets for the NYC premiere of the movie on May 27th!

And if this hasn’t made your day, well, how about this? This fall, Cosabella will extend the Sex and the City collection to include new colorways and silhouettes!

The Fall Carrie collection will still retain a fun and fashionable essence, but will replace floral print tulle with scalloped edged lace. The cami, brief, and g-string all come in a gorgeous, vibrant pink called Lipstick. The Charlotte collection continues to use the amazingly soft and eco-friendly bamboo fiber. However, for Fall 2008, it is featured in Sage and incorporates a 3/4 sleeve top. Samantha takes sexy in a new direction with an animal print called Ocelot. The spotted print tulle is available in a bustier, low rise hotpant, and low rise thong. The hotpant and thong of the Miranda collection will remain, but a soft bra is introduced. All pieces will be featured in Cocoa with a Pink trim.
