Cosabella Celebrates 25 Years!

So, most of my recent Cosabella coverage has been about the coveted Sex and the City collection. However, perhaps even more notable, is that Cosabella is celebrating 25 years in the industry! Now that’s a reason to celebrate! In the past 25 years, the brand has evolved from providing bodysuits and its signature Soire thong to offering an extensive intimate apparel and swimwear brand. In honor of this remarkable occasion, the brand is launching the Valeria collection (in homage to president and founder, Valeria Campello designed by husband, Ugo Campello).

Fayreform Fall 2008 Update

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Fayreform showroom and see all the pieces of the Fall collection up close and personal! I wanted to give you some additional information about the products (beyond my commentary about how beautiful the pieces are) since my last post.

Fayreform’s Fall collection is moving toward a more fashion forward look while retaining its signature sophistication. The brand refuses to settle for less than an impeccable fit for its full-cupped customers. Fayreform manages to blend both worlds by meeting subtle detailing with supportive construction.

One example of this intersection of fashion and fit is with the Perfection group. Lady like lace and rosettes adorn the balconette bra uniquely designed with 4 piece vertical cups that give added support ad lift. Pfiff Spring/Summer 2008

I’ve already mentioned my love affair with the new Pfiff Age of Innocence eco-friendly group. I recently had the chance to visit the Pfiff showroom and see not only that group, but the rest of the Spring/Summer Collection (Autumn/Winter too, but more about that later!). As expected, the collection does not disappoint by matching exquisite design and detail with elegant (yet, supportive and comfortable) fabrics.

Breadth of Serenity is just that indeed! A clean, white double layered mesh is topped with a vibrant, royal purple scrolling embroidery, which immediately transported me to the Mediterranean in my mind! The group has something to offer everyone. The lightly lined balconette bra accomodates cups A-D, while the lightly padded full coverage bra fits C-F cups. Both feature the delicate, scalloped straps as well as the coordinating organza bow with a crystal tear drop charm.

Bottoms include a g-string hipster, bikini brief, and boyshort. All of which include the organza bow detailing in addition to their own unique elements including additional embroidery, pleating, and a key hole. In true Pfiff style, you’ll not only look fabulous from the front, but from the back as well! The group is complete with both a camisole and chemise. Mix and match to create new, opulent looks every night of the week.

For the ultimate in sophistication, Dramatic Entrances pairs a soft, tactel microfiber with Leavers lace and mesh. The palest green is accented with an inky black in a group reflecting the Art Deco style. Again, amazing detailing is featured throughout and sizes A-F are provided options through the fashionable demi padded push up bra and lightly lined full coverage bra.

The tanga features a unique, lined mesh cut out detail in the back as well as a double banded side while the wide-side thong features detachable garters! For more coverage, choose the hipster. Shan Lingerie Spring/Summer 2008

Shan has gotten a quick mention in Brenda’s Glimpse into Canadian Lingerie Collections, but because we were able to get our hands on some photos of their latest collection, it’s time for a quick follow-up post dedicated to the popular label from way up North-America

The photos are anything but high quality, but they’re still worth a watch as I really like the summer-vibe Chantal Levesque has put into the pieces… I’m trying to get my hands on some real high-res photos of the swimwear, so keep your eyes peeled!

Gonzales Underwear for 2008

Designer Carmen Gonzales has just sent us some photos of her first 2008 range, called Irma la Douce. The designer from Gran Canaria manufactures her pieces on the island personally, and focusses on feminine heroes, one collection each year. She also hand-makes the boxes or pouches they are carried in, which are also different each year and carry on the theme. Past collections included Miss juicy, Miss Cohiba, Miss Frenchy Miss Red Riding Hood (photo right).

For this year, Gonzales Underwear’s Irma la Douce was launched in Lyon for 2008 delivery. The collection is made up of 30 pieces with seasonal additions and colour changes. The models include balconettes, camis, slips, boy shorts, french knickers and soft bras. All very pretty! We’ve got some catwalk pics, hope you like them!

Fayreform Fall 2008 Preview

How do I love Fayreform? Let me count the ways! Well, lucky for all of us full-cupped ladies, there are plenty of ways to count for fall. With a more fashion forward approach, the fall Fayreform collection, “Masterpieces” is inspired by the great master painters. Look for the collection to redefine elegance and sophistication without sacrificing the support that D-J cups require.

In August, the Pixelate collection is introduced. A new, everyday classic using a new balconette bra profile. Complete the look with the bikini (featuring ruching on the back seam) or thong. Made from a stretch mesh, Pixelate will be available in Black and White in August and in Crystal Rose in November. Another great addition arriving in August is Pigment. Leading the way as one of the first contour bras for larger cup sizes, this sophisticated style is made of a gorgeous diamond print satin. The matching satin bikini features mesh side panels.

Starting in September, more glorious masterpieces will hit the stores. Art Deco is an exquisite range as it meets style with comfort. The balconette bra and matching bikini, in a beautiful, soft neutral, Moonlight Fawn, are made of a soft microfiber and edged with a contrasting guipere embroidery. Delightful! Conceptual is a beautiful profile that accomodates through a G cup! Using modern and elegant eyelash lace in Crabapple Coral against a nude lining is flirty, but classy. With an eyelash lace front and mesh back, the bikini completes the look.

In October, introduce yourself to Perfection. This well-constructed, vertical seam profile gives the bust an amazing lift. In White Smoke, this stunner features delicate lace, piped seams, and adorable rosettes. October also welcomes Restoration, another bra in the new contour profile. Made of silky microfiber in Navy, the glamorous look is completed by the White Smoke eyelash lace and stretch ribbon detailing.

Calligraphy, arriving in November, is one breathtaking range! The Linen Cream fabric is accentuated with a “tattoo” embroidery in a rich turquoise. A satin trim completes the sweet and fashionable look. November and December will welcome back some of the favorite ranges such as Conceptual, Restoration, and Perfection in additional colors.
