Color, Color Everywhere…

It looks like color will be pervading the drawers and racks of your favorite boutiques and department stores this fall.  Color palettes include elegant and opulent jewel tones like deep hued purples, full bodied wines, and strong sapphires as well as rich and robust autumnal shades like spice, poppy, and olive.  Even the absence of color makes a bold statement with luxurious, creamy colors like blush and oatmeal.

It’s All in the Details!

Prints are back!  I’m a huge fan of prints from a little accent to a bold statement.  This fall, prints are airy and ethereal and include feature everything from florals to birds to symbols.  Other favorite details for fall include the timeless eyelash lace, cheeky ruching, flirty ruffles, edgy hardware, and pretty piping.

Mix it Up

One of my favorite new trends is the concept of mixing and matching.  For all you recessionistas out there, this is the perfect way to maximize your lingerie wardrobe.  From camisoles, chemises, and robes in alternating colorways to solids and patterns with similar color palettes, there are limitless options for creating a unique look.  With so many options, it will be tough to decide!

Two Figs - This amazing, new, San Francisco-based company does exactly what its tagline says and supports sleeping beauty in its chemises, gowns, and more designed for cup sizes D-G.  Stay tuned for more including stockists!

Beautiful Bottoms - This darling, U.K. brand isn’t new, but it just emerging in the U.S. after experiencing much success abroad.  Known for affordable airy pieces, this brand is bound to be one of our favorites (and yours as well!).

Lelo – Lelo isn’t a new brand, but since introducing its first lingerie and loungewear line, I’m excited to see where they continue to take their collections.

HotMilk - HotMilk is on the cutting edge for luxurious pregnancy and post-pregnancy lingerie looks including everything from bra and panty sets, camisoles, and chemises to post-pregnancy shapewear, mix and match pajama tops and bottoms, and my favorite, the new wrap dress.

Pure Lime - This Scandinavian-based company that specializes in fitness attire is revolutionizing the sports bra with the addition of a detachable Polar heart rate monitor.  The runner in me is dying to know more and will bring you the information soon!

From Lelo, we interviewed the lovely Eliane Said who showed us the absolutely elegant Sussurra collection recently launched by the brand best known for their pleasure objects.  You’ll be hearing more on TLP about this collection, but pay special attention to the kimono (my fave!).  Just glorious!

Channel your inner vixen this Fall as Affinitas Intimates shows us their dark side with a seductive Fall/Winter 2010 Collection.  A rich color palette of dark blues give the collection an enigmatic feel, while pops of fuchsia and pink keep pieces fun and flirty.  Jewel, tassel and bow embellishments compliment lace paneling and intricate embroidery, seen against solids in addition to animal and paisley prints. Inspired by Queen Victoria, the Victorian Gothic era, and other things dark and exotic, the Fall/Winter collection features intricate details, interesting patterns, and intriguing designs.

Fall/Winter 1, currently available in stores, is inspired by Victorian Indian Summer with unique collections including Wild Life, a exotic, safari inspired pattern (incorporating zebra, leopard, and tiger markings!), Language of Flowers, featuring pops of a bold, floral pattern, Oriental Beauty, inspired by Persian palace architecture, Salomina, inspired by the geometry of Persian carpets, and Queer Pets, featuring an embroidered monogram as an accent to both the bras and panties.  Each group in cludes a variety of bra styles including padded plunge, padded plunge balcony, unpadded plunge balcony, and padded french balcony.  Corresponding panties include a thong, brazilian short, tanga, brief, and short.

Fall/Winter 2, Dark Fever, explores a parallel universe.  The Deamon collection, named after the wild animal alter egoes of The Golden Compass, include accent prints of snakes against raspberry red and leopard against chocolate brown.  The show stopper?  The animal print trims are zippers!  Hot!  The other collections include Dark Victoria, a classic floral lace pattern of black on grey inspired by the  elaborate mourning fashion of Queen Victoria, Beautiful Bat, black microfibre accented with leather and inspired by Victorian Gothic Horror and lady vampires, Masked Ball, black microfibre accented with ruffled elastic trim and edgy miniature gunmetal studs, Divination, featuring prints of 19th century copperplate writing and mythical creatures inspired by fortune telling and tarot cards, and Secret Society, a black stretch mesh featuring prints in silvery grey flock.  In addition to the bra and panty styles listed above, this range features a very sexy waspie in Dark Victoria, knitted top in Beautiful Bat, jersey top and eyemask in Masked Ball, suspender in Divination, and a body (aka teddy), peek-a-boo unpadded plunge, and stockings in Secret Society.

Christmas Crackers is the theme for Fall/Winter 3.  Collections include Key to Deliverance, black velvety flock on black mesh is accented by tiny patterned keys in gunmetal is inspired by A Christmas Carol, Red Xmas, a poinsettia colored collection sprinkled with glittering rhinestones, The Spirit of Christmas, styled with engraved flowers in deep purples and accented with a favorite phrase of Marlies, ‘Let me lead you elsewhere to that boundless space where your spirit is already free,’ Christmas Baubles, a ribbon braid  accented holly red microfibre celebrating the Victorian tradition of decorating a fir tree, and Global Fireworks, the Swarovski crystal adorned, Platinum collection which pays tribute to New Year’s Eve celebrations.  Again, the collection features a range of mix and match options for bras and panties and also include stockings in The Spirit of Christmas and suspenders, a babydoll, and a nightgown in Global Fireworks.

Marlies Dekkers bras range in sizes from A-F (including some maternity styles!) and panties XS-XXL.  Check Marlies Dekkers or your retailer for specifics.  Marlies Dekkers is sold at leading retailers including Journelle (where I just bought mine!), Neiman Marcus, and Honey’s Lingerie.

In the Micro Mesh range, there are four patterns (Deco Floral, Wild Paisley, Baby Bloom, and Tropical Holiday), with one arriving on the scene every month starting later this month.  In addition to a traditional babydoll and chemise, there is a more supportive, lined, built up lace chemise offering wider, adjustable straps for additional coverage.  Two piece options include here a bralette, lace cup cami, or built up lace cup cami that can be paired with either a lace back brief, lace back thong, or lace waist pant.

The soft jersey collection features solids including Black, Purple Orchid, Mandarin, and Ivory and is also mix and matchable.  In addition to the cami, chemise, babydoll, pant, thong, and brief, there is also a fabulous, easy to wear short robe.

For a more opulent look, the Silk Satin with Leavers Lace range is to die for!  Elegant Silk Satin is paired with delicate Leavers lace (from Calais, France) in a babydoll, chemise, cami, minishort, and thong.  Delightful!

Other ranges in the fall collection include Plain Powernet, Jacquard Herringbone Powernet, Jacquard Cotton Rib, and Pure Cotton.  The Samantha Chang collection retails at stores throughout the U.S. including Brooklyn Fox and La Mode Lingerie.

Petite ladies will luxuriate in popular style, Lucia featured for fall in a delectable aubergine/blush colorway.  Retailing at $62, it is well worth the oomph it will give A and B cup ladies.  Exquisite!  Yvonne (which is even available in 30 bands!) makes a basic nude bra spectacular with the addition of either mocha or vanilla lace on the straps and wings.  Yummy!  With a $68 price tag, you can look fabulous without breaking the bank.  And not only are the bras beautiful, but the boyshorts and thongs that accompany them are as well.  With the holidays just around the corner, why not send a hint to your significant other.  Who wouldn’t want one of these beautiful sets under the tree?!

All of the ranges in the collection celebrate beautiful, vibrant, delicious COLOR!  Popcorn yellow, amethyst orchid, Persian red.  Rich and radiant!  Not only does the collection feature color, but also prints including florals, gingham, polka dots, and fleur de lis.  I particularly like the incorporation of  turquoise and coral (known in the collection as Blue Radiance and Dubarry Melon) which reflects the trends on the runway.   And no look is complete without the corresponding pieces featured in the Afterwear collection.  Absolutely delightful!

The fall collection is available starting this month through December at retailers worldwide including Bare Necessities and Zodee online.  See below for a few of my favorites!

The brand continues to focus on elaborate strings, garters, and knickers with some bras and camis too. Prices are very reasonable. I’m guessing the quality is similar to other Polish manufacturers and with budgets tight all around, some splurges on a special kit might make you smile.

If you feel less adventurous, you can shop at retailer Cupid Lingerie. Prices are still reasonable, but I’m not sure Cupid is carrying all of the new pieces.
