In September, we told you that Zovo Lingerie is planning a charity fundraiser and needs models. The event is “Panties on Parade,” a runway show designed to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen for the cure breast cancer research foundation. We just got an update from Zovo, and the event has been postponed until January - which means that you’ll have even more time to get ready to strut your stuff on the catwalk! Zovo said, “Moving the date allows us to all focus more on the charity portion of the event and for the models to generate donations.”

A date has not been chosen, but be sure to keep an eye on The Lingerie Post for updates!

This is obviously a PR stunt by the Mio Destino people, but it’s a pretty sexy one none the less, which means it deserves a spot on the blog!

On the horizon, there are (can you guess?) yet two more new lingeries line by celebrities. It seems that almost everyone with any kind of notoriety is designing their own lingerie line these days. Not that we’re complaining, of course; the more lingerie, the merrier! While sitting in the front row of the Marlies Dekkers lingerie show in Paris on Sunday, R&B singer Usher told Women’s Wear Daily, “You may have heard that I might be launching a lingerie line for men and women. Comfort and intimacy is very important.” I’m interested to see what he comes up with - I wonder if the men’s and women’s designs will coordinate, match, or just have their own appeal? Only time will tell! We don’t know how much time, either - there is no set launch date. You can see a sneak peek of one of the designs in his new “Trading Places” video, but no word yet on exactly which set is his!

Former supermodel Molly Sims is also planning on releasing a line, scheduled to launch in the spring of 2010. At the recent LA launch party for Domino: The Book of Decorating, she revealed her plans. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said. She prefers substance and comfort to flashy designs, and definitely won’t incorporate things like leopard prints. “I want it to be what you wear, not what you wish you could wear…It’s what you wear every day, just a little more beautiful. It’s going to be feminine. It’s like undone-done, so it’s like a reveal-conceal.” While I can’t say I completely understand her logic (who can’t wear leopard print if she wants to?), it sounds like this brand will be full of good basics.

According to several UK newspapers, Joanna Ketterer of Luva Huva recently added another group to her selection of handmade knickers. In addition to the end of line silks and cottons, she now sews her fancy knickers in materials made from the pulp of bamboo grass, which is similar to unspun cotton.

Barely a month into selling the new line, the most popular of the six items is the Bamboo Cream Knicker. Also available in bright ruby red and deep plum purple, each knicker has its own camisole to match. Like her other creations, these panties are beautiful with pretty lace around the waistband and little bows adorning the fabric. The legs of the knickers are gathered with elastic and finished with complementary stitching. The camisoles are equally as pretty with lace bordering the round neckline and the hem.

A perfect time to launch these newer pieces with the holiday season up and coming!

Located in the Lower Burnside district of Portland, Oregon, the shop carries a unique combination of luxurious undergarments, hosiery and sleepwear from local, national and international lines, as well as bath and body products, hand made jewelry, antiques and home decor. Lille features undergarments and lounge-wear made with handmade lace and high-quality natural fibers, such as silk and organic cotton, but you will also find bras made of modern materials that offer exceptional comfort and support. The goal is to provide women with smart alternatives to the many uncomfortable synthetic options currently available in the lingerie market.

Sarah stocks Lille with great brands like Eberjey, Stella McCartney, Sabrina Nadal, and Lyell; however, you won’t find an entire line from a designer at Lille. Sarah doesn’t work that way. She hand selects pieces that are distinctive and fit with the goals of her own shop.

In addition to running Lille, Sarah also has her hand in fashion shows including the Doug Fir Fest in 2008, the store’s one year anniversary, and the 2007 fashion show. Sarah’s day doesn’t end there. Sarah’s latest venture is to transform from shop owner to lingerie designer. She has recently introduced her own line of limited-edition handmade lingerie she is calling Gatsby. Gatsby is inspired by vintage styles, most notably Sarah’s great eye for the 1920s. She uses only vintage silk, lace, and other recycled materials. Currently, sizing is limited and the pieces aren’t available on the Lille website. Sarah encourages women to try them on. She will increase the number of pieces and sizes as the line matures. Sarah shared a few pictures from her Gatsby line.

TLP showed you shopping for undies with coverpop and now it is time to show off oSkope. oSkope is a Flash based shopping tool. I’ve used it for Amazon, but they do offer other portals as well. oSkope is described as “visual search” and is a free online service developed by oSkope media gmbh in Zurich and Berlin.

Begin by picking your shopping destination. Mine was Amazon. As oSkope queries Amazon, it adds more options on the screen.
