Christina Hendricks Wears What Katie Did in GQ UK

Have you seen the photo shoot that Christina Hendricks (star of Mad Men) did for the September 2010 issue of GQ magazine?

Hendricks wore What Katie Did lingerie for the shoot, specifically the Lulu corselette and the Glamour merrywidow.

The lingerie is gorgeous, but don’t you think Hendricks looks ill and unhappy in the top two photos? What was going on with the lighting at that photo shoot?!

Totally agree. Lighting is not flattering at all. The first page made it look like it was going to be all retro and comic-book themed, which would be pretty cool and creative, but the rest of the pages just look pretty blah. She’s so pretty but they’ve done her up all wrong!

  2. Treacle says:

Upon closer inspection, it looks like the knickers in the 2nd photo were furnished by Rago. Those shaping bands look verrry familiar.

And I agree with the makeup. She looks very corpsey and they’ve styled her hair to make her forehead look large. She’s a gorgeous woman; they could have done much better.

  3. Lillefix says:

I agree about the Rago thing, that’s what I thought when I saw it too.
although it is true that that hairstyle probably isn’t the most flattering to her face shape, I am still of the opinion that Chrsitina Hendricks always looks good, and that it is always nice to see her :)
Excited to see her in what katie did too. Lulu corselette probably looks fabulous even without a woman underneath.

  4. I have to agree the top two photos do not do the items themselves justice but all the same the lingerie is gorgeous, and very figure flattering which is what women want these days x

Treacle & Lillefix – I thought Rago too, but I didn’t want to say that in the post because I wasn’t *positive* like I was about the corselette and merrywidow!
