No more Intimissimi at Victoria’s Secret in the US?
For the last couple years, Victoria’s Secret has been carrying Intimissimi in quite a lot of their stores in the United States. We mentioned that the brand was planning to end the Intimissimi line in their stores, and it seems like our fear has become reality.
I am not located in the United States myself, but after checking with some of my friends, it appears quite a few Victoria’s Secret stores that used to carry Intimissimi have recently stopped stocking it. Reader Lucia let us know this is already the case in her VS-store in Oregon, but apparently this is happening in most Victoria’s Secret locations…
Can anyone confirm this? I tried contacting Victoria’s Secret myself, but they’re extremely quiet…

I remember asking a sales associate about it when it first came in Victoria’s Secret and she started griping about how unreliable their shipments were, how they never knew what sizes, etc were coming in or when…my guess is it has something to do with this. Too bad, because it was my favorite brand when I was living in Italy, and I had high hopes for it being here in the states!
It is also true for stores in Illinois.
I just googled this because I was looking at their online site to see if they had any new Intimissimi stuff in, and I couldn’t find it–even after searching their site for it. =( It definitely seems like they’ve pulled the line, which is too bad! It was cute!
I just visited my local VS store where I have purchased five Intissimi bras over the past couple years. And they were gone! In fact, I found your page today as I was looking for answers.
I wonder if Intissimi presented too much competition for VS. They were better priced, better fitting, and had a great many more options with many of a woman’s bodily quirks in mind. Why else would they remove them right before Valetine’s Day?
Or perhaps Intissimi plans to cut out the middleman and bring in their own stores? I don’t know, but I don’t want to be cut off from Intissimi!
My wife is from Naples, Italy, and I actually discovered the intimissimi store near her father’s apartment there during a recent visit there. We both went there, and I found a great assortment of fashion-forward underwear for men there, at a great price, so much so that I have since stocked up when we go over there, as very little available here in the US appeals to me, or is ridiculously overpriced “designer u-trow,” like Calvin Klein or Hugo Boss. My wife also found the intimissimi styles for women fit her much more consistently than the more rigidly-sized and constructed Victorias Secret (VS) bras.
VS used to operate a single stand-alone intimissimi store here in the US, in Columbus, Ohio, but that location closed at about the time the brand started to appear in the VS mall stores. Since then, I have been unable to order intimissimi men’s styles via mail from that store, or anywhere else. Recently, intimissimi dramatically scaled back the size of the men’s line they showed on their website. Was intimissimi simply overextended?
We both would love to see intimissimi have a visible presence here in the US, and if they can do it without an American partner, all the better! It seemed like a culture clash having both brands under the same VS roof. And, yes, the Italians seem to have mastered the art of delayed and disappearing shipments of anything!
I am sad to see this line no longer available at VS. I am trying to figure out how to order through the Intimissimi website, but it seems to only offer a “wishlist”. :sigh: I’ve always had to go through great lengths to get this brand (or to find any bra that fits for that matter) but this is just absolutely ridiculous. The closest VS store that sold this line was in King of Prussia which is 1.5-2 hrs away. I don’t order clothes online since I hate s&h and I need to try things on since I can’t trust anyone’s size in any given store. ::sigh:: This is a complete mess. I only hope that Intimissimi finds a better avenue to sell merchandise in the US. VS didn’t advertise this company at all and now they just lost my lingerie business… not that they really had it to begin with.
Hi, also online now VS does not carry Intimissimi anymore. I think its because they were not selling enough. Its not because the shipping was unreliable. I talked to people who work in Intimissimi stores in Italy (I am Italian), and they said they would have loved to send more lingerie but VS did not want. What we got here was just little compared to the variety sold in Italy. Such a pity!! The quality of bras and panties is much better than what VS carries… too bad
I am so sad. I was aware they were not going to sell intimissimi at VS anymore, but i thought they would send announcements of some sort so i could stock up. They didn’t and now intimissimi is gone. There are NO bras out there that fit me. I’m a 32 small D, size 4 in intimissimi was the ONLY thing that fit me. I’m having a VERY bad day, my last nude bra needed to be replaced.

I am in Arkansas and heard awhile back that VS would no longer be carrying the Intimissimi line. Our store was always selling out fast, from what I heard from the store manager was that the line was to expensive to have shipped over, so they stopped carrying the contract.
Does no good like stated to go through their website…. stinks that you just cant order off the dang site. Also, I did send an email to them but never got a response. Probably cause they cant read English. HA. ! Man I hope your right Ashley about getting it at end of 2010.

Oh bother this is not good news. This explains why I couldn’t find their stuff on the VS website. Thankfully, DH insisted several yrs ago I stock up once we found something that fit.

The saleswoman told me they depleted their stock during the semi-annual sale and they didn’t plan on carrying it in stores anymore. I don’t know if that means it will become available online eventually but I haven’t seen anything to date. This was the best line and the only one that fit me well. I’ll probably write to VS and complain.
I’m writing a suggestion/comment to VS right now about Intimmissimi. That was the one brand that fit me well. I just ordered a bras from the line Victoria (which is “similar” to Intimissimi) and i’m returning it because of the fit, it’s always either too tight or too loose.

Yah. I do find ‘some’ things at VS, but most everything is way over padded and the adorable or sexy look of Intimissimmi was awesome. ! Such a variety. I tried to find other Italian lines on the web, but nothing really is even CLOSE. ! I know one thing though as sad as it sounds… Ill be saving some money… goodness I spent alot on their line. HA
Sooo Sad:’( I absolutely adored this line! I pretty much replaced all my VS bras with intimissimi’s and to my devastation have no hope of continuing on with my collection unless I go to Italy. My budget unfortunately does not cover trips to buy bras. Anyways I hope Intimissimi can see they have a following here and possibly do something about it and soon!!
I am sad devastated upset, mad…I love this brand..sexy innocent, provocative..not like a padded thick skinned bras from another VS collections..beautiful sleep sets, bras and panties.
If I knew that this brand is leaving VS stores I would purchased more within this half a year…

OK so I’ve been reading all the comments about the intimissimi bras sold at VS. I’ve bought these bras for my daughter, she absolutly loves them no other bra seems to fit as well. Just want to say that I just ordered the said bra at VS website through a sale catalogue I received this past week, so they do still have inventory in stock they are trying to get rid of. The item # is DZ-226302 and on the screen there is no image available it just says plunge demi bra. But I know for a fact it is the intimissimi plunge demi bra and the only one still in stock as of today. In the VS sale catalogue they had 7 intimissimi bras on clearance and every item # I put in came back out of stock except this one. I just ordered 2 for $12.99 per bra. Hope this helps anybody who is looking for this bra.
confirmed… talked to associate at VS who said the contract with intimissimi ended…
I love the Intimissimi Collection at Victoria’s Secret. It was better fitted, better priced and I love the variety of styles and colors. The fit is perfect, not like VS bras, same goes for the panties. I am an XS and VS XS does not fit me the way Intimmissimi does. too bad they stopped carrying it, I’m gonna have to find another place to shop for lingerie =(

This was the only brand that fit me (after years of trying to find this)! I love the 1/4 wire which was supportive and didn’t dig into you. I’m a 30B and the size 1 was perfect. I’m very disappointed in VS! This always happens when you find something that you LOVE! I hope they open their own stores over here in SoCal.
It’s sad but true….these were great bras for my teenage twins. I worked at VS for 8 1/2 years as a bra specialist and after recently having breast cancer, I needed the Intimissimi bra inserts(well, I only need 1!)but the store director told me everything was gone. They didn’t even send it to the outlet store or save it for semi-annual….they shipped everything back
I heard from their facebook site that they’re working on a website/online store, which will be available to U.S. late this year or maybe early next year! Don’t feel too bummed out about it; they’ll be back.
really loved this brand; so sad that VS isn’t carrying it anymore. I always liked their designs and especially their t-shirt bras, comfty and supports well.
