Sophie Malagola is one of the hidden forces in lingerie. She has an eponymous brand, but she also lends her talents to many other brands. After graduating, she worked at French power house Chantal Thomass. She has since designed collections for La Redoute, Daniel Hechter, Plein Sud Sun, DIM, Lejaby, Etam, Crazy Horse, and Le Chat.

Malagola may be best known for her Boheme Crystal bra. More jewelry than lingerie (it is delivered in a jewelry box), someone bold could wear this bra by itself, someone even bolder could leave their boudoir wearing nothing but this bra. Otherwise, it may have to be worn with a black top.
It is available for special order from Ma Cherie d’Amour. It is $2,550.00.
Malagola began her own collections in 2002. The collection uses a lot of triangle bras and something like a boy short crossed with a culotte and string.
Sophie has been relatively quiet since 2006. The website hasn’t been updated for more than eighteen months. and there isn’t much news about Sophie on the Internet. TLP hopes she is still designing and collaborating. Add a comment if you know more about her whereabouts.
