OndadeMar Swimwear Simply Diva 2008 Collection

Not only has OndadeMar exceeded our expectations with their aptly named Simply Diva 2008 collection but they have also opened a new store in Miami Beach, Florida. Luxury, handmade swimsuits, with a Latin flair, has been the hallmark of OndadeMar since its inception in 1999. Their newest swimwear collection is divided into four groups including ONDADEMAR, LUXE, OdM and KIDS. “Lunatic” from the ONDADEMAR group is an exciting one piece style. Not your average one piece mind you, it is conservatively cut out in sections showing just enough skin to produce a tantalizing image. Superior, flamboyant fabrics add to the allure of the overall brand.

The “Black Pearl” bikini from the LUXE collection is refined and delicate with its wispy frayed fringes around the cups of the breast and the panty legs. “Polished” is a gold metallic fabric reminiscent of the old movie stars with high brief bottoms and bandeau top. A huge tie, which adds to the glamour, finishes off the front of the top and the bottoms. What makes this suit really special is the fact that the bottoms are connected to the swimsuit top on the sides. In reality, this is a one piece with the illusion of a two piece.

All about creating eye-catching, glamourous designs, OndadeMar was listed as one of the top twelve swimwear labels by Fortune magazine in 2005. Rightly so, as mediocrity is not in this designer’s vocabulary. Each year, Pily Queipo masterfully creates new details and uses different adornments to design the most beautiful and ostentatious collection ever. Indeed it must be challenging to creatively outdo oneself year after year!
