The new “ultra-feminine” Victoria’s Secret

In March, Victoria’s Secret declared that they wanted to veer away from their super sexy image and return to what the brand is really about – the “ultra feminine.” I had a peek at the new Fall 2008 collection, and the new direction is very apparent. I was flipping through all the pictures, passing by standard Victoria’s Secret fare (lacy thongs, push-up bras, sheer garter belts, satin bustiers), but more and more I started noticing things that would look more appropriate for a sweet Sunday morning breakfast than a sultry Saturday night seduction.

There are plenty of innocent bra and panty sets as well as a wide selection of patterened sleepwear, following through on Victoria’s Secret’s promises to “reinvent the sleepwear business.”

These styles aren’t yet available on the website, so keep your eyes open as we get into the Fall 2008 season. I, for one, can’t wait to get my hands on those hipster panties with little birds!
