Hamana: Polish Lingerie

In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.

Hamana seems to be a smaller company doing embellished satin bras, knickers, chemises, and some fun ’sleeved’ corsets. The collection is not very large, but Hamana falls into that romantic style we’ve seen a lot of in this series of Polish lingerie. Some of the collection resembles the Hollywood version of petticoat wearing barmaids in gold rush towns with chokers and hair ribbons to extend a bra and panty set with accessories. Sizing is the median of European sizes with bands in 65-80 range in A to D cups. Knickers are S,M,L.

Hamana does not run a company store, but you can find them at E-Lady at www.e-lady.pl. Pricing ranges from 60 to 80 zt for a bra (~30-40 US, ~15-20 UK) for the bras, 20 to 35 zt for knickers (~10-18 US, ~5-9 UK), and chemises around 75 zt. Photos from Hamana.
