The White Company from London
Do you like white? Is crisp, clean white your colour in the hot summer months? Well if it is, then The White Company has the perfect collection for you. An interesting yet simple concept of all white home furnishings, decor and clothing, the company began in 1993 with a small selection in a twelve page mail order brochure. Fast forward to 2008 and the company produces ten yearly brochures, has an extensive website, and takes pride in seventeen retail stores in the UK.
Most of the products are made exclusively for The White Company and the fabulous lines are designed in linen, cotton, cashmere and jersey. The nightwear range consists of women’s trousers, PJ shorts, cami tops, short and long nightdresses, PJ shirts, bed jackets, hooded and classic robes, and of course, little white slippers. The designs are actually quite delicate and pretty. Take for example the Lucille Short Nightdress with its A-line shape and sweet little v-neck with soft gathering under the bust. And the Pointelle Cardi, a little white cardigan or bed jacket in long sleeves with crochet-lace trim and single ribbon tie closure.
For a less formal look, the Lauren PJ shirt is just long enough to wear on its own or pair it up with the matching trousers or even the Mimi PJ Trousers in tiny floral print with drawstring waist and contour fitting elastic back. A variety of luxurious and soft robes round out the total selection. And do not forget to add a cute pair of ballet pumps, mule slippers or bed socks.
The sizes range from X-small to X-large and the best part of this collection is that all the pieces can be mixed and matched. Each piece suits a different personality or mood and there is plenty of selection to avoid a boring evening!
