Gracya: Polish Lingerie

In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.

Gracya has been in business since 1979. The founder is Teresa Slonicz. Gracya focuses on a fashion, premier and bridal collection. The site is available in English and Polish. Gracya has a long relationship with the beauty contest “Miss Polonia”. Gracya is being distributed by Alterego in the UK. Some shops are beginning to carry the brand. The collection carries less embroidery and appliques than most of the Polish brands and is a little sleeker in overall effect. The brand carries some bridal gowns in Poland, but these don’t seem to be distributed outside of the native country. View the thumbnails at the bottom for a complete look at the collection.
