Diana, Almi, Ava, Azal, Comexim: Polish Lingerie
In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.
Diana, Almi, Ava, Azal, and Comexim are lingerie producers in Poland. Their products are very similar and I’ve decided to present them as a group. Diana makes sets aimed mostly at the twenty-something market. Matching sets are the signature from Almi. The do make lovely full coverage briefs (like the Italian brief from Aubade). Ava has a lot more basques and babydolls than most producers. Azal is an everyday basics company with a couple of bras in colour that remind me of Well from France. Comexim makes everyday basics and swimwear.
