Maidenform teams up with DKNY

Maidenform Brands, an affordable line of lingerie basics, has committed to an agreement with Donna Karan International to design, source, and market lingerie under DKNY and Donna Karan brands. The agreement has given Maidenform the rights to create a full collection of DKNY and Donna Karan inimate apparel, and this collection will be distributed worldwide in high-end department stores and specialty boutiques beginning in 2009. The Chief Executive Officer of Maidenform, Thomas J. Ward, said of the agreement,

“This relationship allows us to penetrate new channels of distribution and provides us with another method to drive additional sales growth in the future.”

The new DKNY apparel joins the other brands of the 85-year-old company, like Flexees, Lilyette, Sweet Nothings, Rendezvous, Bodymates, and Self Expresssions.
