Ewa Bien: Polish Lingerie

In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.

Ewa Bien will soon be celebrating their 20 year anniversary. This is quite remarkable since prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall, it is doubtful that a private lingerie company could have existed in Poland. The company mainly sells in Poland and other neighboring countries including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Russia. Recently, they have expanded to France, South Africa, Australia, and Canada. UK and US visitors may see more outlets for Ewa Bien soon in their countries. The company produces two seasons of lingerie and one season of swimwear each year. The two lingerie collections contain 20-40 pieces each.
