House Of Deréon Lingerie Launch

For those of you who are not familiar with the House of Deréon, it is the company inspired by Beyoncé’s maternal grandmother Agnéz Deréon who was an accomplished seamstress and dressmaker in Louisiana designing custom clothing for her own clients. The company itself is the collaboration of Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles who spent many years of her life in fashion.

House of Dereon LogoBeyoncé and Tina launched their line of clothing to provide designer items without the large price tags. They call it “hip haute”. Silk, charmeuse, satin and linen with lace trimmings are the main fabrics of the collections. They plan to add sunglasses and other accessories this year.

In addition, Tina Knowles recently announced that House of Deréon would launch its own line of lingerie with the Spring 2008 collection. It seems odd that it would be released this late as part of the Spring lineup but if it as elegant and stylish as their evening dresses, the lingerie will be appealing. There is very little information other than the announcement itself. We do not know yet what direction the line will take nor do we have any photos. I guess we will all just have to wait and see together.
