Ambrielle Lingerie Spring 2008
We mentioned JC Penney’s lingerie line Ambrielle some time ago — and seeing as I felt bad admitting I hadn’t heard of ‘m, I went on a little research-spree. Turns out it’s not that surprising I hadn’t heard of the label, seeing as it’s exclusive to JC Penney, and completely unavailable here in Belgium. That’s life!
Still, after taking a closer look at the pieces, it seems like a very good “bang for buck”-brand. Flirtatious and hip lingerie at great prices. Lovely bras of well under $20 are no exception! For their Spring 2008 collection they went for shades of cool greens, sweet pinks, berry blues and warm yellows — a pairing to summer wardrobes. The line features a variety of styles in both bras and panties that will make (and I quote) “what goes under your clothes as much of a fashion statement as the clothes themselves”.
I like the looks, but I suggest you make up your own opinion — we’ve got pics!
Ambrielle has a lovely website — make sure you check it out (and make sure to keep your eyes open for Ambrielle on TLP!).

I love the Ambrielle line!! I buy my bras from the Ambrielle line exclusively now. They have the best fitting bras up to a 42DD (which is what I am) I no longer have to shop at Lane Bryant thanks to Ambrielle. They’re lingerie fits amazing too! I highly recommend their line.
Worn once, underwire keeps poking trough and making it unwearable. How do I get an exchange?
I’d check with JCPenny. The site does not conduct any consumer transactions. Good luck.
I too LOVE the Ambrielle bras, however, I have of the same style and everyone of them I cannot keep the straps up. They fall continously, therefore it is a pain to wear them, but they are comfy and look great. Any suggestions what I can do to make the straps stay in place?? I am desperate, thank you.
I have a nickel allergy and after trying on the Ambrielle bras began to feel itchy all over. I wonder if anyone knows if the Ambrielle line is nickel free or if the underwire and strap adjusters are made of nickel or not ?
I could not believe how poorly these bras were made. The underwire came out after only ONE WASHING and they just didn’t fit properly. I wear the same size as I have for the past 20 years but their sizes obviously aren’t the same as what Playtex has. I will never purchase anything with the Ambrielle logo on it again. In my opinion, a quality store such as J.C. Penney should not do business with this company.
I’ve had my Ambrielle bras for a little over a year now, and I’m amazed at how well they’ve stood up (for that price). Easily the most flattering and comfortable bra I’ve found yet, and I’m in the lingerie business!
I too LOVE Ambrielle bras, but also have the difficulty with the straps staying up. To reiterate an earlier post… would love to hear ideas on how to get the straps to stay up.
Even with the strap challenge I continue to wear them because their line is more flattering than any other I have found!
The solution to falling straps is to wear the Ambrielle Strapless. I wear them year round.
The problem with these bras is that they are almost “disposable”. After one washing (hand wash only) the material is wrinkled and “weird”.
The wire has been fine for me. comfortable and stays in place. (36B)
I would never pay full price because this bra does not last. (one to three gentle washings and it is done.)
