We here at Playful Promises are so excited to be guest bloggers for the fabulous Lingerie Post! We will be bringing you all of the inside gossip straight from the design studio each month. As this is our debut post we have a very special preview for you!

Especially for the Lingerie Post, Playful Promises have an exclusive look at never before seen images from the latest photoshoot for our Autumn/Winter 2008 collection – “Love Me”! It is so exciting seeing the designs come to life for the first time when the photos come back!

This is our current fashion range, which focuses on electrifying flashes of colour and strong, modern sculpted shapes and designs. The electrifying colours of precious jewels including shocking pink, and electric blue have inspired these dazzling creations. This diverse set of moulded bras and black lace are intermingled with oversized bows and buttons. With names such as “Tease Me” and “Flash Me” reflecting a playful vanity, this range encourages an attitude to flaunt.

We decided to express this playful vanity by using a specially built mirrored box. The photographer James Lightbown (jameslightbown.com) then worked out how to shoot so we could get the garments from the various angles without getting too much of the room in the images and then did an amazing job of making the mirrors disappear in photoshop!!

The photoshoot for this collection was great fun; things that seem to stand out in my mind are Make-up artist, Laura on hand to paint model, Rachel’s bum to make it look uber-perfect for the 360 degree mirror shots - Rachel calling, “More bum paint!” and Laura whipping out her shimmering body pigment and slapping it on with a brush! Oh the glamour!
