Jessica Simpson to launch lingerie line
According to Vestiny Apparel, Inc., the pop singer and U.S. reality TV star Jessica Simpson is working on an intimate apparel line set to come out this autumn, called Jessica Simpson Intimates. From the above link:
Launching this Fall 2007, the line consists of lingerie, night/loungewear and day styles. Initially launching in major department and specialty stores nationwide this Fall, the line looks to expand worldwide by Fall of 2008. “The collection is fun, flirty and exactly what I would want to wear,” says Jessica Simpson.
I am interested to see what she comes up with. I’m slightly embarrassed to say I still really like her (even though I don’t like her music), despite the fact that the tabloids have put her through the ringer recently. I think she’s so sweet and beautiful in a way that will translate well to lingerie and loungewear styles.
UPDATE: After doing more research, I did find out that Simpson was inspired to create this line after being frustrated with bra shopping herself because of the small selection available for larger cup sizes. No word yet on exact sizes, but I’ll let you guys know as soon as I find out! Now it totally makes sense that she teamed up with Vestiny, which is the company that sells the Solution Cami, a cami with a built-in bra for larger cup sizes, and the line B.B. Curves, which is a line dedicated to larger cup sizes. Now I’m even more excited!

Do you know if she will be able to wear her own line (i.e. will the cups be big enough)? Or is this another in a long line of celb’s slapping there name on something that can’t or won’t were?
