The Lingerie Post is moving servers
Hi everyone! I don’t usually post here – but today I’ve got big news for our regular readers, and as the tech-man I suppose it’s my job to inform you about it. The Lingerie Post is moving servers!
We’ve had some minor issues in the past with the current hosting provider, but most of the time the website we were very happy with the service we had. Why move then?
Well, because we’re growing, and we want to be able to continue growing in the future…
The server we’re moving to is located in the US (in stead of Amsterdam, where we’re at right now) – which should result in a huge speed boost for our US, Asian and Aussie visitors. European visitors will experience an estimated 10% decrease in speed – which sounds like a lot but should hardly be noticed.
The new server is faster, more secure and has better support. We hope this step will not cause you too many problems (there might be some downtime, but we’ll try to keep it close to none) – and look forward to saying hi again on the new server. More news to come!
