a Swiss String? addictive Swiss Scandals?
We just made our first microwear post today (about Wicked Weasel), and here’s number two already!
The addictive Swiss Scandals / a Swiss String (aSS) introduce themselves on their website as follows:
“aSS was founded in the summer 2002 in Basel – Switzerland, by Maria Wagner. Initially, she just wanted to make microstrings for her own use, but they were rapidly discovered by girlfriends, and their friends in turn. Since then, the aSS-collection has grown and found its way to proud girls all over the world. Maria designs only what she would like to wear herself and sews every ordered piece* personally in her small Zurich studio. Although a one-woman-enterprise, she is assisted by her husband Pascal, who does the graphic design for aSS and helps out by doing other small jobs.”
One-woman enterprise? Handmade? Great! Like I said before this whole microwear thing is completely new to me, but it sure seems like a lot of people are into it… Do these things feel comfortable?
Looking at the atmosphere coming from their website it’s not the main focus for the aSS clients. It’s all a little bit kinky if you ask me, but hey, de gustibus non est disputandum, right?
