‘A Jour’ Lingerie

I just discovered the Ukrainian A Jour brand today, and I must admit I was a bit sceptic when I heard about a Ukrainian brand trying to conquer the world with a combination of various styles and designers from their home nation… Their website has quite a lot of information, including their very ambitious Mission Statement:

“Our mission is to create fashion collections of lingerie that will meet the tendencies of both, designers’ and mass collections. We are also trying to stimulate the creation of fashion lingerie collections by native designers, as well as to contribute to the development of “lingerie direction” in Ukrainian fashion.”

Their spring/summer 2007 however doesn’t look that ambitious at all… A lot of quite conservative designs and light colors dominate the collection. I was about to browse back to previous collections to see whether or not this was just a collection that didn’t fit my taste, when I saw this absolutely gorgeous Night blues set… I had to include the full size photo, as it’s THAT pretty!

How great is that? Decadent ribbon usage, lovely embroidery and beautiful 3/4 cups that are just plain stunning. What a masterpiece!

I’m contacting the people at A Jour today… I just have to know where I can get my hands on this set, and at what price….
